Good service, even on New Years Eve. Excellent selection of beer at reasonable prices. There was a great atmosphere even though it was jam packed. The bartenders were attentive and very speedy, but not rude. I would definitely go here again!

I love Roxx. My boyfriend and I frequent here every weekend for the cheap drinks and the bartenders. The food is decent. Typical bar food. $ 5 double energydrink/vodka on the weekends and $ 5 shot and a beer from 10 – 12 on the weekends. Shot wheel is great too.

Love me some castleroxx! Specials are awesome, beer and a shot combo from 10−12am. Sunday specials are unbeatable. Great wings, great bartenders. Some nights can get«collegey» but most nights you’ll find people in their early to mid 20s in here.

I ordered a Hop Knife from this hot blonde bartender and I watched her poor me an Oktoberfest. I didn’t complain. I just drank it and wrote this review.

We wanted to try new places in the neighborhood and was glad we stopped in here for dinner. The burgers tasted great, and were cheap. There was a decent beer selection, and the place becomes lively later in the night.

in terms of bars, I guess its ok… it obviously does its job and gets people drunk. its a 2 level bar, with a dance floor on the first floor and a full bar on the 2nd… with stairs in between… I don’t think the stairs are a great idea for the drunk people… since 9 times out of 10… they’ll probably fall down the steps. the food kinda sucks… fries are too greasy… same with the steaks… chicken isn’t always cooked fully. could be a great place, if they changed some stuff

Classic Manayunk establishment. Just a tad off of Main Street all the way at the end on Shurs ave. I’m guessing this place mainly caters to the college crowd after all it was a place frequented when I was in college almost full decade ago now. They have descent specials from time to time and I’m not sure if it is a perennial thing but they had a shot wheel there where you paid a designated amount and got the the shot it landed on. Good was descent… nothing spectacular… typical bar food and affordable. Drinks were cheap especially with a red bull vodka special.

Was a fan of this place, however they seem to not hold onto their best employees. Was a big fan of the big strong guy(believe his name was Dan or Dave?) that used to sling me shock tops and fireball shots at the 2nd floor bar. He was so friendly, very funny and welcoming… Don’t know what happened to him but the homey friendly feel of the second floor hasn’t been the same. Still an ok place though

I enjoy this place. I’ve only been three times but every time I go, I have an awesome time. My only gripe was one evening last week, my order of appetizer samples took entirely TOO long, but the bartender realized and sympathized for the delay. The delay was inconvenient and yet passable especially since the wait and the a few missed meals caused my pal a little extra tipsy.

A little off the beaten track, but definitely worth it for the lack of cover charge at night. The draft list is a little limited but was definitely a step or two above just serving Miller and Coors, thank goodness. I believe I saw Goose Island, so I was heartened by the presence of small breweries alongside Yuengling and Guinness. I was initially a little put off by the ridiculous guy to girl ratio, because it made it seem much more like a stodgy sports bar, but as the night wore on, more females started to arrive, so it evened out a bit. This establishment is dark and very loud due to the little dance floor that’s up half a level from the entrance. Will likely return because it’s a little smaller and less crowded than other Manayunk joints, and because of the good Saturday night specials($ 5 shot and beer, discounted apps, etc).

Castle Roxx is your typical corner causal bar not a total dive but nothing fancy either. I recently went here on a bar crawl and had no complaints. One of the people in the group need to go home and fell on his way out the staff brought him some ice which I thought was super nice. I use to come here more frequently when I lived in the area, I remember the food being ok bar food. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come but if I am in the area I might stop by again.

Went back on a Sunday evening — and had such a better time than last! Great specials for beer pitchers and the awesome shot wheel ! Much more mellow crowd — The bartender was good too! This could be the new Sunday Funday spot !

Ok bar food. I like the waffle fries with cheese very greasy but nice happy hour eat. At night this place gets weird and I feel like a lot of people are grinding on each other trying to hook up. Alright for watching sports if you can get a seat at the bar.

This place was kind of boring, but then again I don’t like places where you just sit. It was a little bit too dark and stuffy, but it was bearable. I would go back only because my group wanted to, but not necessarily on my own volition. I know I have experienced better, but I’d be okay going back and giving it more shots.

How does this place NOT already have hundreds of reviews? Just a block off main street, Castle Roxx is worth the slight detour, especially earlier in the night. Awesome drink specials(can you say $ 5 redbull vodka? no, then how about $ 5 for a beer and shot daily?) along with the shot wheel will certainly get you started off on the right foot! Interested in staying a while longer? That is fine too as their bartenders know how to take care of you, just make sure you remember to take care of them. I’ve never been charged a cover and don’t think I’m special enough for them to be waiving one for me. So there is no reason not check it out on your next trip to the ‘yunk!

Castle Roxx is an awesome spot to bring a few friends. The chix are always mediocre which helps for a beer goggles night, not for the morning after. HA My number one gripe is that they don’t actually use red bull in their red bull and vodkas. Otherwise, I love this place. Haven’t had their food, but specials are great.
