Philadelphia’s sandwiches get a whole lotta love and rightfully so. Cheesesteaks, hoagies, and roast pork make Philly a great place in which to eat. One that does not get nearly as much hoopla is the breakfast sandwich on long roll. For when a bagel, English muffin, or toast just can’t hold enough food, leave it to Philadelphians to find a way to get more grease and cholesterol into their morning meal. Coffeeland doesn’t reinvent the wheel – they just make solid food for cheap. Most of their business is breakfast takeout, but there are a few seats at the counter. The service is friendly, and they get you everything quick so that you don’t miss your bus or train. If you do happen to get a breakfast sandwich here, I would recommend upgrading to the long roll or kaiser roll. Both are a little more expensive but hold up to the extensive grease much better than a few slices of flimsy bread.
