Comcast Service Center

This is the worst company by far ever established. Right hand doesn’t talk to left. Business service never works. As a small business in Philadelphia we spend much of our time talking, scheduling technicians, rebooting, running in circles, etc. with Comcast. Between me and my employees we’ve spent 27 hours JUST this week. This company needs to go away. Ralph Roberts, founding Comcast originator would be disgusted. They charge as much as they can and only credit you for down service if you call to complain. This usually takes a average of 1.5 hours on the phone. So you end up paying regardless with time away from work. You must «re-​explain» yourself to EVERY operator agent that gets on the phone. Be ready to be twirled in circles as business doesn’t speak to residential, and residential doesn’t speak to residential. It is a complete cluster service company. In this day and age they should be spending more of their profits on technology and service training. Spending less on property/​acquisitions around the globe. They are acquiring millions of $$ thru consumers and screwing us all at the same time.

Comcast’s slogan really should be…“The Customer is Never Right”. Their Mission Statement could be «If we make a mistake, charge the customer extra money».
Done.

They have shut down my Internet each day for three days in a row. Each time that I call, they realize that indeed they had received a payment but had applied it to a different account under my same name with the same address. Mind you, they had received five payments beforehand with no problem but all of a sudden are now experiencing trouble.
If you can avoid them, do so. Comcast Xfinity is the devil. Get Verizon FIOS instead if you can. I know that I will be switching myself.

I had just bought this service a little under a month ago. I’ve scheduled a tech to come out twice to put a amp device to strengthen our internet threw the house, and to connect my other box in my roommates room. I’m paying for a device that I havnt even taken out of the box. Needless to say he didn’t show the first time and I had requested off work to meet up with the tech. VERY inconvent. So I rescheduled for a couple days later so I could try and get off work again. They showed up the very next day while both my Roomate and I were at work. I’ve had this company for not even a month and I already want to return all of it. Now my internet is super slow. They promised discounts for the inconvenience yet that never showed up on my bill either. I’ve been on the phone so much that I feel I can’t even be helped or satisfied at this point.

I have to drive 20 min, and then wait 20 minutes to return my cable box. Why they don’t pick it up is beyond me. To make matters worse there is no bathroom.

A women at the desk in this office Promised my handicapped cousin free HBO for life. After a couple years they just started charging $ 15/​mo. Comcast not live up to the promise so we had to cancel the HBO. They most likely don’t read the reviews but just wanted this out there.

It has taken 4 lengthy, convoluted phone calls, three promised but not made return calls, two contradictions about billing, two incorrect appointment notices and a lot of general dysfunction; all to get a simple technician appointment arranged for new phone service. And I happen to e a premier Triple Play customer; how do you get treated if you’re not of those?
When I signed up for Vonage in my business, it took one call and we were done.
Maybe it’s time to say goodbye to Comcast at home too…

It had been a couple year’s since i had been to this location, and with all the recent news reports and even some personal experiences, I figured i would be walking through the gates of hell.
Surprisingly, Comcast has invested in this location, to make it more customer friendly. The inside had been completely remodeled and upgraded.
My cable box had busted earlier in the day, and with little that could be done with the customer service rep through the online chat function, i headed down the street to the Comcast Service Center on Columbus.
The second i walked in, i was handed a number and my old cable box was taken, no questions asked. After waiting about ten minutes, my name was called, and I was given a new cable box, no questions asked. It was pretty painless.
I was fortunate that the Center wasn’t too crowded, but to be honest, had a pretty good, hassle free experience.

for the quality provided, it should be cheaper

I have had my comcast email for over 15 years. I have not had comcast service for over 5 years since the comcast account was disconnected the email was disconnected. I should be able to keep the email just like gmail or yahoo to which ever internet provider i choose. For example i can move my phone number over to another phone carrirer i should be able to keep the email i have very important emails that i will never get back.

There are Xfinity WiFi hotspot almost all over the city of Philadelphia! I barely used any data on my phone while touring the town for four days!

Ok, in general, I have no love for Comcast. But every person in this center, from the security guard to the woman checking me in to the customer service rep I met with was pleasant, upbeat, and efficient. I went right when they opened and was the first in the door. Since the last time I visited, they really have cleaned up the joint. I no longer felt like I was waiting at some dilapidated office to fear my fate. It was modern, bright, and clean.
If you MUST go to a Comcast Service Center, you definitely could choose worse ones.

Business account was out of service all day had to harass them because first tech said was OUR equipment. We replaced the modem. Still not working so we called again and told us to stay at office until 8pm for second visit.
Lost a whole days worth of business emails with no access to customers files.
We will be getting a better Internet service provider tomorrow (that’s pretty much anyone else) and taking Xfinity to court for lost business…

I call Comcast to see how to get a DVR. The voice on the phone said to come to this Comcast Service Center. When I get there, I am told by the people there that before I can get a DVR, I need to call Comcast again to set up my service for DVR since my building has bulk rate for TV or something. She gives me a number to call, and the number is for Dish Network…
1. Why do I have to call Comcast Customer Service when I am at a Comcast Service Center? Can’t the people here do things?
2. How do you mistakenly give a customer the number of a competitor?
3. Why do you even have the number of the competitor anyways?

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking…5-stars for Comcast? I wouldn’t normally believe it myself, but this is not about call-​center service, technicians, or issues with connectivity… this is a story about how one customer service agent turned our entire move around. After walking into a pretty hellish new apartment situation, we were looking for a way to salvage the day. We had to stop and run the typical new move errands of South Philly and were stopping by Budget to pick up a moving truck so we figured now was as good a time as any to stop by Comcast to set up our new account. The previous tenant of the apartment had put a stop-​date of service on her account mid-​month even though we were moving in on the 1^st; online account creation wasn’t possible so we nervously went to the CSC fearing that the experience would be miserable…
…guess what? It wasn’t! I don’t know if we just caught a lucky break, or maybe because it was the day after a holiday/​Sunday, but even being #3 in the queue we didn’t wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Our CSR, Antonio, got us hooked up, fixed the information that was holding up our account, walked us through cost for packages and sent us on our way all in 30 minutes. Parking aside (there’s next to none of it and you’re on a sketch service road), I would almost recommend setting up your account here rather than over the phone. In-​person support was far more knowledgeable and efficient than phone support. Who knew?!

They finally remodeled and added more service desks. there was no wait time and it was easy to return the equipment. Much better service this time

My ticket said I was #1 in line but the CSR let someone cut me in line. I guess the customer slipped by the check in person and the security guard. Yes, there must be many irate customers are this location. However, the CSR, Maria, was extremely fast and helpful much more so then three me or Ms. Jakalthorpe spoke with over the phone.
Now if I were to review Comcast’s online service…

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually had a pleasant experience with Comcast. Who knew that could happen? It was quick to pick up my equipment and the agent I spoke with was very nice. However, I was quickly reminded that this is Comcast and they never do anything completely right. The cable box didn’t work when I went to install it myself. Had to get someone to come out. Will we ever get decent cable service???

How can COMCAST be one of the best employers? The level of INCOMPETENCE most Xfinity employees have is ridiculous. The bills are always innacurate, they bill you before you even got the service activated. It takes forever to get someone to your house. They promise a technician at certain date and they change the appointment… except they never notify the customer. You spent hours talking to idiots who want to sell you things. You chat with people on different time zones and they give you an appointment «in the past».
And…I don’t have another option of cable companies in my area. This is So ridiculous.

Overpriced and inconvenient. Discounts are only awarded to people who are NEW customers. What about the people who have been paying for decades as faithful customers? We are paying for the Comcast takeover as previously stated!
Cutting off their services for good today!
