If I had a surplus of disposable income and a large apartment to fill with toys, I would come here to pimp out my pad with high-​end audio and A/​V equipment.
Community Audio is a small store for audiophiles located in Chestnut Hill that I found when searching for a Grado dealer to purchase SR60i’s (headphones). It is a nicely designed shop with hardwood floors and brick interior walls. Transportation from center city is best accomplished by taking the R7 Chestnut Hill East regional rail train to Wyndmoor Station. It’s a short walk from there.
I was met with a friendly owner who serenaded me at length with stories about traveling in Europe on trains and an enthusiasm for his area of expertise. I was treated like a first rate customer when my purchase was a mere $ 75 in a store where it’s easy to rack up a bill of thousands before you blink an eye.
If I win the lottery, I’ll be back.
