This place rules! We waited out a blizzard at the bar and the staff was super friendly and fun! Amanda and Lauren were awesome and made the night really fun! We highly recommend this place for the hospitality and delicious food and beer selection!

My wife and I came the night that the regular wait staff had their Christmas party. So I can’t comment on them — but the food was really good. My wife has the short rib Mac and cheese and I had the Guinness stew. Both very very good. The craft beer selection was minimal, but they had Guinness so all was well with the world. The atmosphere was very homey — but no open fires. I’d come back again for a wee pint!

Boyfriend and I were walking around philly when we saw Con Murphy. We decided to stop in for dinner. It was a Saturday night and the bar area was packed. We were seated upstairs. The dinning area upstairs had a romantic feel to it. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly.

Great food! Lucky for me able to accommodate my family of 25 for Thanksgiving dinner on short notice. We had a family member in the hospital nearby. Service and food were excellent!

I was very disappointed with the food at this restaurant. I was in from out of town and decided to eat here because it was right next door to my hotel. I ordered the Shepard Pie. After 3 bites I started to taste a bitter aftertaste; bitter and almost citrusy. I decided to smell the dish and something just didn’t seem right. Needless to say I stopped eating immediately. I let the server know and she took the dish away. When she brought the check they didn’t charge me for the dish. The server was really nice, as was the hostess. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t good. :-(

Stopped by for breakfast. Way to expensive for food I can get at a diner. For the price of the meal I was expecting something really good. Will not be back for breakfast. Nice décor, friendly staff.

Worst cocktails ever. Skinny blonde could benefit by going to bar tending school or something. Not sure if she thought I was drunk or just didn’t want to make a solid drink. Maybe she was just having a bad day but it was not very good to say the least bit. My gf ordered the fall sangria which was tasty. Like a pineapple juice or a caprisun is. On another note the whole time we were there, she was talking to her friend hard to get her attention. One of the reasons we were only there for 20 mins. Empty place which I liked, but terrible customer service. Anyways hate to rant but there are many bars within waking distance that I wished I had gone too. Only been here one will not be going back.

Just went there for the first time tonight. Super impressed! I had the 4 elf beer there and it was amazing. I ordered the cheesesteak which was also delicious. It was a nice dimly lit warm and welcoming pub feel. Very chill atmosphere, and it was decorated with string lights and autumn leave decorations. Great selection of beers and food. I’m definitely coming back!

Seated promptly by a smiling hostess. Friendly waitress came within a minute of being seated. Hummus plate, crab cake, and cheesesteaks were all delicious, and the place is super cute too. Excellent experience!!!

My husband and I had lunch here on Halloween. The food and service were both amazing! We split buffalo chicken wings and the fries with cheese fondue. The fries were AMAZING. Easily large enough for two people to share as a good sized snack. The wings were very meaty and had a great flavor. Secondly, I left my phone on the table by accident and management continuously worked with me to make sure I got it back — a real class act. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Philadelphia!

Came here last night with my team to get drinks and food post game. The waitress was really nice but it was very difficult to get her when we needed since we had to sit upstairs. The wait for our food took a really long time so although the food was decent, I’m not sure if I would come again. I got the Buffalo wings which were hot! Yum. and they were nice and crispy, which counterbalanced the blue cheese very well. My friend got the Buffalo chicken Flatbread, which she said was too soft(the bread itself). I do appreciate the waitress letting us use the promotions and coupons we got, so we did tip her well !

We didn’t eat here yet but definitely enjoyed the beer selection during the world meeting. Met a lot of great people here which is what always happens at an Irish pub! Beers were a little expensive, we were charged 8.50 for a draft harp! But the bartenders were fast and friendly and the atmosphere was spot on. Will certainly try a bite next time! On a side note, restrooms were clean even though there was a million people in there!

Service: 5++ stars! A group of my friends came here to celebrate an engagement. Even though the dining area was not open, they made an exception for us. The owner/manager was even kind enough to buy us all a shot on the house. Décor: 5 stars Upon entering, the is a mailbox like area where you can charge your phone while you dine. This is a great idea that every restaurant should have! Not only will your date/friend not be on the phone the whole night, but your phone will be charged so you won’t run out of battery when you need to Über home. Food: 4 stars Generous portions! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and bread pudding. It was amazing. My friends ordered shepherd’s pie and were given such big portions that the whole table shared them. Drinks: 5 stars

Seats more than it looks. Two levels. Had the chips/salsa and hummus plates with Irish beer on the 4th of July. Only in America! Restaurant was packed and service was quick.

Came here with a friend last night for a few drinks and snacks. Given that the only reason we chose Con Murphy’s was due to their online advertised specials of «LATENIGHTSPECIALS: EVERYDAY10PM — CLOSE«$ 3 Heneiken, Yuenglings, Coors light and $ 4 pints all day. $ 5 Fries, Chicken Tenders, Loaded Nachos — and the server did not honor any of these specials, the 2 stars speaks for itself. Either update your website, or honor your specials you advertise — pretty unacceptable. Service wise — our server was a nice, came by at appropriate times to ask us if we wanted another beer and such. The chicken tenders at $ 10 were a joke. Dry on the inside, and no seasoning on the batter at all — luckily they have salt on the table so I had to douse it with some salt and generously dip in the honey mustard and bbq sauce. Might be worth $ 5, definitely not the $ 10. Wouldn’t return without specials based on that experience.

Cute little Irish bar/pub located right next to the Windsor Suites in good ‘olé Philly! From the outside, Con Murphy’s looks like a tiny pub that you might miss unless you’re looking for it. However, on the inside there are various levels available for seating along with an outdoor option(for the warmer months). If you’re not busy grabbing a cheese steak somewhere you should definitely check out Con Murphy’s for breakfast/brunch. I came on a Saturday for brunch with my boyfriend. We were staying at the hotel which meant we could take advantage of the brunch deal offered to hotel guests. How does this deal work? You basically pick out any breakfast menu item worth $ 13 or less and you get that plus coffee(refills included) and a glass of orange juice for ten bucks! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, which brought a side of home«fries» on the plate and a small serving of ketchup. Not only was it visually appealing, but hands down probably the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in ages! Service was absolutely amazing and rather quick. I would not hesitate to come back and check out their lunch or dinner menu.

Con Murphy’s is one of the better after work options for my office. And while(I believe) they have the same ownership as Tir Na Nog, I’ve always had a much better time at Con Murphy’s. The bar on the second floor has a great layout for a large group where it has felt like a private event at times. And when the weather is nice, they have tables outside. I also think they do Center City Sips right as oppose to other bars that will resort to plastic cups for a very water downed experience. Bonus points to Con Murphy’s for hosting a fundraiser for the Comcast MS Bike team

I never thought to ever come here, never thought I’d give it 5 stars either… but what can you do when it’s weirdly freezing out, there’s like nothing between Market/Arch and 16th/18th(so when is City Tap House opening?), and there were no complaints on the outing and actually just pleasant surprise after surprise?! 5 stars, bang. WOW! The place is very nice inside with two floors of seating and full bars on both levels. The crowd was varied in age, but was neither boring nor rowdy — very chill, almost felt like a speakeasy when we went! The only thing with the interior is that the chairs are SO uncomfortable… it’s like sitting on wooden planks. They have outdoor seating, which is probs fun for nice days since it’s right on the parkway! The menu is typical Irish bar, BUT they have daily specials that add that spice! Today’s specials included chicken Alfredo and a Cajun burger… both very atyps for an Irish bar! Pleasant surprise #1. Service was great! Our waitress, Rachel, was very nice and attentive. As we checked in on Unilocal,we received 15% off of dinner. SO many places tsk tsk at this — read my other reviews — and Rachel was so nice about it; pleasant surprise #2! Honestly, if you’re gonna be weird about it THENDON’T PUT A COUPONON Unilocal. THANKSCONMURPHY’S FORBEINGCHILL! The food itself was delish! And presented very nicely(check out the pics!). That was pleasant surprise #4. Pleasant surprise #5 was that they had super cute pictures of JFK and Jackie Kennedy on the walls — very unique for an Irish pub and an aww moment. Con Murphy’s was a super interesting find with a lot of depth for an Irish bar. I would come again for the great service, change-ups on the menu, and the unique and unexpected details they probs didn’t even know were charming!
