I don’t understand why they bother being a pizza shop. Their pizza/sandwiches are good, but their Mexican food… mercy. Just review their Mexican food and understand that it doesn’t get much better. I lived in the city for two years before moving to the north east and will tell you that the only place that competes with these guys is que chula es Puebla in northern liberties. I’ve had almost everything on their Mexican menu and have been extremely satisfied. Inexpensive and extremely well prepared. If you’re unhappy then that’s your fault.

Update: 7 hrs spent in the ER for the food poisoning. Board of Health contacted. Do not eat there, unless you enjoy almost dying and being dehydrated.

I ordered from Concetta’s for lunch today, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I ordered tacos al pastor(3) with pico de gallo on Corn tortillas. You can choose your topping(onion & cilantro; tomato, onion & cilantro or tomato, lettuce and sour cream) as well as your shell(corn, flour or hard shell). I also got an order of nachos. The nachos came in a pretty large portion and I was pleasantly surprised to see the chips were house-made. The beef was tender and flavorful. There were also big slices of avocado on top and oaxaca cheese, a nice sign of authenticity. Digging a little deeper, I noticed there was also cheese whiz on the nachos, which was very disappointing. Next time I’ll ask for nachos without the canned yellow chemicals. The tacos were pretty good. The pork wasn’t super flavorful as some of the al pastor I’ve had in other parts of the city, but still perfectly acceptable. The tacos also came with a side of fresh salsa verde, which was really fruity, spicy and vibrant, as any good salsa verde should be. All in all, I’m happy that I found a place close to home that can satisfy my taco cravings, and I think with a few adjustments this place could be a real neighborhood gem.

Renamed to Baby Boss… Weird. I miss the original Concetta’s back in 2007. Now it’s a weird mix of pizza and some Mexican food that is chintzy.

Ordered there a few times to pick up cause its local and walk-able.Pizza is taste and the crust is always crispy. The daily slices are decent but no the best, the pizza seems to have been there all day. The buffalo wings are not good, at least to my liking the sauce seems to be regular plain hot sauce. And for the cheese fry lovers, the fries are shoe string, and it comes with a tiny side of «whiz» and they WILLNOT put the sauce on the fries. Over all its ok,

There are very few options in the Northeast for Mexican/Tex-Mex food, only about two places come to mind(the closest, El Rancho, wasn’t very good, and the second Las Margaritas is great but a ways off). We were happy to get a menu for Baby Boss Concetta’s which offers Italian and Mexican cuisine. We ordered the beef tacos, marinated pork burrito, beef nachos, and chicken tostados. The tacos were amazing, with thin sliced seasoned steak but didn’t come with cheese. The pork in the burrito wasn’t great to me, reminded me of the pork you get at a bad Chinese restaurant. The nachos were good, you can tell they make their own tortilla chips. The tostados were really good, the chicken was nicely seasoned. My only gripe is two big chunks of fat I bit into on them that I had to spit out. One odd thing, though, is you can order guacamole, but they don’t put it on your food(instead, thin slices of avocado). Overall, the food’s really good. I plan to order again and try their enchilada and huarache.

i had to bring a dish to a party. i dont cook, so im always looking for the easy way out, but wow-ing the guests with my purchase. so my aunt mentioned that she orders food from here for family parties. i needed a dish for about 40 people. i called him and ordered stuffed shells with spinach. the owner couldnt have been any nicer. the shells were amazing. everyone raved. but they also thought i made them because they didnt taste like they were from a pizza place. as much as i wanted to, i didnt take the credit. he even walked them to my truck because he said they were heavy. over and above. it came to under $ 50. and there were no leftovers!!! nice work. i will use this place for all my party needs!
