David Cohen Ogontz Branch – Free Library of Philadelphia

I went to the Ogontz branch to return an over due book. I walked in and there wasn’t one at the desk. So I waited patiently. I looked at one lady who was talking to someone in the rear section of the library. and she stared back. I saw another woman putting away books. She never even glanced at the desk which was three feet away. I jiggled my keys a little to see if the woman putting the books away would notice. She did not look up. Finally a woman came from the back and helped me. The woman who stared at me earlier walked by as I was paying the fine. She had a library tag on! She didn’t even acknowledge me despite seeing me waiting at the desk. How rude? This library is a short distance but I won’t be coming back here. The staff is is terrible.

The worst library I’ve ever seen.
— The staff is the worst. I went in to study for my Criminal Stats class, and I walked out, well stormed out after thirty minutes. All staff members of this library are loud. The conversations re the worst. The adults insist on blasting their headphones while using the computers at this location. The staff barely cracks a smile when you walk in, instead you get a nasty looks. The librarian is the worst, she’s the loudest of them all. Ugg
