Had the best experience here at davids. Came in with the intentions of just trying on wedding gowns to see what options I had. Thanks to the lovely and very helpful consultant Rosemarie I found my dress, she made it so easy and quick to try on multiple dresses and decide on my final pick. Rosemarie is the best.

My sister is getting married in August and today she went to pick out her wedding dress from David’s Bridal. I drove nine hours from NC to surprise her and she had no idea. I called the store about five minutes before I was to arrive. They made sure she was in the back when I came in. I came in and sat down on a chair and then they brought her out. She walked up and was in her own little world but then I said hey! She took one look at me and bawled. Then she broke down into tears on the floor and had everyone else in tears too. I am not the bride but they had a way of making me feel special too, helping me with dresses and shoes as well. Thank you for helping my sister pick out her awesome dress and for making her a beautiful bride! Thank you to all the ladies that helped Brittany today! Larissa was awesome!!!

I had two dealings with this David’s Bridal store. Each time was a disappointment. My first appointment was a few months ago. I was ordering my sister’s bridesmaid’s dress. I went to this location because it would be the easiest one for my sister to pick up her dress. Even though it was a pretty simple transaction, it was not a pleasant one. The sales representative wasn’t friendly or helpful. When I ask her to send me an email with the order confirmation, she told me that it wasn’t possible because their system didn’t allow them to send emails. She stuck to this even after I informed her and showed her the email confirmation that I received when one of my other bridesmaid order her dress at another David’s Bridal. Obviously, it was doable. I guess she just didn’t want to be bothered. My second dealing with this David’s Bridal was a month ago. I made an appointment ahead of time. I wanted to find accessories for my wedding dress. I guess my sale wasn’t big enough for the sales representative assigned to me. Even though I made an appointment, I received no help. After opening a fitting room for me, I was on my own. Although I had pictures of belts, jewelry, and shoes that I was interested it, I had to go find everything myself because my sales representative decided to service another bride, who was trying on wedding dresses. I ended up finding everything I needed on my own which included a rehearsal dinner dress, but I refused to buy anything in that appointment because I didn’t want the sales representative to get credit for the sale. I ended up going to the David’s Bridal in Deptford, NJ to purchase everything, which was a much better experience since the sales representatives there are actually friendly and helpful. I just went to the Deptford store again today to get alterations down for my rehearsal dinner dress.

I came here as a bridesmaid for my aunt’s wedding, she had an appointment for her bridal fitting and for the bridesmaid fittings as well(or so we thought). The saleswoman, I believe her name was Melissa, could definitely use a crash course in customer service. There were 6 of us there not including the bride and when we asked about seating so that we could view my aunt’s selections, she told us seating could not be made available and that we couldn’t bring chairs out of the unused fitting rooms. I’ll concede that this is more of the fault of the way the store is designed, but still. My aunt tells Melissa that she’s a 14/16, she brings out a 20 which she is swimming in and finally we just asked for a smaller size which ended up being a 12 which did more justice for the visual. All in all Melissa wasn’t the type who goes above and beyond for her bride. And since the bridesmaids weren’t allowed to sit we wandered around the store since dresses for the bridal party hadn’t been decided yet. When we start bringing dresses back, Melissa informs us that we will need to make another appointment for bridesmaids fittings. My only qualm is why wasn’t this told to the bride when she maid the initial appointment? So long story short after my aunt wrote the check for the deposit they pretty much asked us to wrap things up, make another appointment, and leave. Going to this David’s Bridal was so stressful and disappointing, it made me super glad that I was not the bride.

I was here months ago while shopping for my wedding dress, so this review is a little bit late. You really can’t beat David’s when it comes to the sheer magnitude of available dress selections, but they can be very hit-or-miss depending on the location you visit, time of day, or even which consultant assists you. My experience wasn’t terrible, but was closer to the«miss» end of the spectrum. I visisted in the middle of a weekday afternoon, and the place was basically empty… The complete opposite of when I helped my aunt shop for *her* wedding dress at David’s on a Saturday afternoon. So if you’re going to shop here, definitely try to do it on a weekday morning or afternoon! My bridesmaid and I got plenty of attention from our consultant, which I was very pleased about. The consultant also seemed very knowledgeable about their selection, and was very friendly. However, I came with a list of dresses from the website that I wanted to try on. The consultant only brought me the first one, and spent the rest of my appointment trying to up-sell me. To be fair, she had asked for my budget beforehand… But she only brought me dresses that were at the absolute maximum, or up to $ 300 over! This, despite the fact that David’s has many beautiful gowns costing half or even a third of my budget. So another bit of advice: tell the consultant that your budget is lower than it actually is. It was also a very high-pressure sales environment, with the consultant constantly saying«that looks beautiful– you should buy it now!» before asking for my feedback. This wasn’t my experience at smaller, local boutiques where they asked my opinion FIRST and used my feedback to find options that better fit my taste. The consultant also kept pushing me to apply for a David’s credit card… No thanks. Oh yeah, and filling out those forms they give you at the start of your visit signs you up for a lifetime of spam, both e-mail and snail mail. Fair warning.

I first drove to the old location on Roosevelt Blvd, only to find that it was closed. A quick Google search led me to the new location in the Roosevelt Mall, next to Sears. You can’t beat David’s Bridal for gowns. Seriously, you can’t. I hate to let you in on this secret and ruin my find, but I can’t keep this to myself. A fellow Unilocaler and I came in here on Saturday to look for gowns for her upcoming ultra-fancy birthday extravaganza. We went right to the clearance rack, and within moments found two beautiful gowns. Mine came to $ 20 with the additional clearance discount, and it didn’t have a flaw. My friend’s had a few tears(all on seams thankfully), but hers came to only $ 10! This was one of the best deals I have ever found, and I will always remember to check David’s for all of my fancy dress needs.
