I stopped in last week in the hopes of finding a great card shop. I just moved to Philadelphia and I am a snail mail correspondence junkie. I send A LOT of cards, thank you notes and invitations. The boxed card selection is good and the staff were pretty friendly. I wasn’t overly impressed with the selection of individual cards, but it seems like the store is a great find for custom stationery and invitations. I’ll be back!

I’m reviewing for off-the-shelf cards, not custom invitations. Agree w/Alexis G’s post — similar to Papyrus(a so-so store), but with an even more limited selection + cards that they do have are quite conservative. Nothing along the lines of Squibnocket or anything that’s truly unique or out-there in terms of design. If you’re looking for traditional, Papyrus-like, this may be your place. If you want more modern cards/design, something funky, I’m not sure I’ve yet found that in Philly.

4.5 stars. I wound up going here(I was also considering Papyrus strongly and a bunch of DIY online options) for my wedding invitations, custom maps, inserts and reception cards. It cost a pretty penny when all was said and done — especially since most people throw the invitation away –but the service was, indeed, excellent. Sonia was terrific. They have a huge selection and just opened a second location — with mostly retails cards and gifts in the Comcast Center.

Where’s the cards & stationery subcategory? This place is really similar to Papyrus. Lots of customizing stuff, it seemed — invitations, business stationary, that kind of thing. I am cards-obsessed and came here looking for cute/funny thank you cards, birthday cards, etc. They have a somewhat decent selection(for whatever reason I’m anti-Hallmark, so. options are limited) but I’m still looking for the ultimate Philadelphia card shop. If anyone has seen Squibnocket cards on the shelves anywhere around here, clue a girl in… Anyway, if you want Cranes, Vera Wang, Kate Spade, all of the other various«high-end» stationery options, this is a great place to go. They had a bunch of stuff on sale while I was there and a lot of it was supercute.
