DJ Robert – Simply Elegant Wedding

I cannot say enough good things about DJ Robert! He was amazing from the very beginning.
We contacted him for a quote and a meeting early in our planning process, and he was very responsive. This was in December, right around the holidays, and due to busy schedules on both sides we decided to postpone the meeting until January. This was our first pleasant surprise — DJ Robert agreed to hold our date for us until we were able to meet with him. We did not expect that and we were very pleased.
At our meeting he was very professional yet also warm and friendly. We immediately felt comfortable around him and knew that he would be perfect for our crowd. He was not «cheesy» or overbearing/​pushy, like some other DJs we had met. He made it very clear that in his eyes, it is our wedding and he wants to do what makes us happy, from providing playlists from scratch for us, to letting us dictate every song to him. The lack of ego was great, and definitely made us feel confident that we wanted to work with him.
We wanted DJ Robert to be able to do his job without us smothering him, so we picked out our special songs, made a list of songs we like, and gave him the general feeling we wanted — Motown and 50s crooners. He did an amazing job. We got compliments on the music selections all night long and for days after the wedding as well. He took our guidelines and put together awesome playlists for our cocktail hour and reception that had people dancing all night long. He incorporated the best of our «songs we like» list at the perfect moments — one of the highlights of the wedding was the entire dance floor rocking out to ACDC’s If You Want Blood. It was awesome!
DJ Robert also provided music for our ceremony, and was able to work with us on our odd venue set-​up (three separate rooms, a tent, and an outside ceremony space) so that the music was able to be heard perfectly wherever it needed to be heard at any given moment. It wasn’t too loud during dinner, and it was just loud enough during dancing!
Overall, working with DJ Robert was one of the most pleasant experiences we had in planning our wedding. He was so professional and very responsive, we never had a single doubt about hiring him. I would and will recommend him to anyone who needs a DJ in the Philadelphia area!
