Einstein Center One

The doctors and their services are great but the parking for the center is horrendous. So many people come to work and visit there each day and they only have a tiny parking lot. They squeezed as many spaces as they could have so everything is a tight fit, and even so, you might spend a good ten min circling around trying to find a spot.

Dr. Helen at Center One Family Medicine is my primary care doctor and she is great. She always takes the time to answer my questions, has an awesomely sly smile/​laugh, and shakes my hand after every appointment. I no longer live in the city, but I don’t want to change doctors because I want to continue to see her. However! I never wait less than 45 minutes in the waiting room, and when I’m waiting for paperwork or a referral, the office staff’s first words tend to be «well, we’re very busy…» and I feel like I’m bothering them for needing care. I know it can’t be easy dealing with insurance companies all day and probably an overscheduled office, but it also sucks as a patient to spend hours stressing over whether your referral is going to be done in time for your emergency specialist appointment.
The Center One radiology department is very busy too, but the intake staff and nurses have, in multiple visits, always been very pleasant to deal with. I’ve had a few administrative hold ups with them too, but they have always been good and apologetic/​helpful about it.
You should know that Center One has an AWFUL parking lot. I’ve nearly gotten into accidents in this lot multiple times, and the parking spaces are so tight that you will want to fold in your mirrors and check for dents/​scratches when you get done. Once I spent 15 minutes there circling and waiting for a space to open up (and at least 5 other cars were doing the same).
Overall, my experience coming here is rarely 100% smooth, but Dr. Helen makes up for it.
