Not much to say about this place, because they don’t offer much to be said about… BOOM. I have stopped in to eat on several occasions, because I was in a rush and they have fried appetizers ready to go. I like their papas rellenas, pastelillos, and sorrullos, but that’s not to say that they are some of the best I have tasted, or even close. They are a good place to stop in at, very quickly, and continue about your day.

The food here is good! I’m Latin so I can’t say its great because I know I can whip it up with more flavor at home but out of a lot of the Latin spots in Philly this is the closest to real Boriqua kitchen cooking. I give it 3 stars because of the following: 1. Parking is a nightmare but then again isn’t that the issue all over Philly. 2. Waitress are kind of cold towards any customer that happen to have boobs… lol 3. They don’t accept credit card so make sure you hit the ATM before visiting.

El Bohio is a nice, family restaurant serving Puerto Rican food in North Philly for years. The food is great and authentic. The El Bohio has a large selection of Seafood items and plenty of good olé fashioned home style cooking. They make a great Cubano(Cuban sandwich) and the desserts and take out items equally great. I love their Rice and Beans, the have green olives ans tender potato’s in every fork full. Try a glass of cold Parcha with your meal. Mui Bueno!
