I own a boutique photography studio and want to run my business as effectively and efficiently as possible. This means outsourcing what I can’t or won’t do. For me, this is the bookkeeping. Enter Morris. He takes care of the things that send me into a tizzy — sales, expenses, taxes (note: he’s not a CPA; I have someone else for that who works seamlessly with Morris). He is reliable, thorough, responsive, patient, organized, personable, and more useful than just balancing the books.
He loves working with small businesses and he actually spends time helping you organize your numbers, process, and thoughts (his company can also help you with business plans). He charges monthly, not hourly, so I always feel like I can call or email him without racking up a bill. I am one of his smallest clients (he is the CFO for Metropolitan Bakery, among others) and feel like I get fantastic customer service.
Basically, I just really, really trust him and that’s after going through 4 CPAs, 1 financial advisor, and 2 bookkeepers in the last 5 years. When you’re having someone deal with something as personal as your very own business, you understand how important it is to truly trust the guy who manages the numbers. I almost hesitate to write this review because I don’t want to share his time with others but such service deserves as much business as it can get, especially because I know he wouldn’t take on business that would hurt his current clients. Call him.
