Everything Fresh

The good:
–Convenience. It’s an actual grocery store in Washington Square West.
–It offers most of the typical items you’d have on your grocery list at so-​so prices.
–Staff are pretty friendly.
–You can get a free cup o’ joe with your purchase.
The not so good:
–Sometimes the food is bad. I’ve accidentally purchased moldy fruit and packaged green beans that were mushy and sour. Always check expiration dates check before buying.
–Selection is limited, as you might expect in a store this size. Pasta sauce, for instance, is either cheap stuff in a can or $ 7 for a bottle. And it can be hard to find humanely raised chicken.
Overall, Everything Fresh could use some work, but I’m still happy to have a grocery store in my neighborhood.

I really want to love this place. It’s close to where I live and the name indicates fresh grocery. However after my recent three visits to here, I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. One time I got a bread but it has mold on it. The other time they forgot to put my egg in the bag and the latest time I got arugula which is mushy and gross. NOT FRESH AT ALL

I used to frequent here a lot and would have probably given it five stars when they first opened up. It’s nice for the area to finally get (somewhat of) a market. But, over the course of the year, the selection and quality of the produce haven’t been looking all that great, so it’s not my go to place when that’s what I’m shopping for. The staff here, for the most part, are friendly. I still drop by here just to pick a drink, sandwich or pastry when I’m on the go.

This grocery store is honestly one of the cheapest in the city when it comes to produce. $ 1 avocados– you can’t find that any where else that I know of.
They have a pretty stocked bulk section and fresh ground almond butter all fairly priced which is one of my favorite parts of the store.
I wouldn’t go here if you had a lot of grocery shopping to do as their selection is limited. I go here for basics only and only if I’m in the area. You can, however, find some speciality items that are hard to come by and they don’t mark it up 100% like most other stores in the city.
The store is always fully stocked at least every time I’ve visited and the staff is very friendly!
To me this place is a little gem.
Also– FREE COFFEE for shoppers.

$ 5 chopped salad! What, what!
I love this little market that opened up around the corner from my work. I can pick up some stuff for dinner as they have lots of fresh produce and other ingredients or I can get a cheap lunch. Lots of healthy brands & options. All of the employees are super nice.

This is a very decent small grocery store in Center City. Not quite a bodega and not quite a Trader Joe’s, this market has a very decent selection of all your daytime and grab something you forgot on the way home needs. The food selection blends healthy with macaroni and cheese.
For this type of store, prices are very reasonable, and sometimes better than your neighborhood grocer. Ezekiel bread on a recent visit ran $ 4.39/loaf – cheaper than I can find it at my regular supermarket. A pint of pineapple cost me around $ 2.50 – WAAAYYYY cheaper than my grocery store absent an insane sale.
You’ll find familiar brands whether you regularly shop at Whole Foods or Superfresh – such as Noosa, Siggi, Frito Lay, and Kraft. There is also a made-​to-​order salad and sandwich counter, and prepped cut fresh fruit.

I am very excited about this new grocery store. I found ⁴⁄₅ things I needed here. They were varied: dijon mustard, mayo, dried basil, and chicken broth (low-​sodium!) This store sells snacks, groceries, fresh fruit and veggies, fresh bread, sandwiches, salads, and Indian food to-​go, deli meats, fresh meats, everything!
The clerks were readily available and very friendly and helpful.

Everything fresh is something we needed in center city. Organic, quality food with a lot of variety in such a small space. The environment is friendly and whenever I leave I feel great about my purchase. My one critique would be on the knowledge of the staff. On my last visit they gave samples of sushi, when I asked what rolls they were sampling they were unable to give me an answer and made no attempt to try. However, this is a new location and everything else is simply wonderful!

The fact that this opened right next door to me has made life so much easier.
I’m probably going to update this review soon because I’ve yet to try any of the sandwiches or other fresh foods they make.
I’ve only come here for a few grocery pick-​ups and the selection is pretty slim, it’s a small store so I can’t complain but if I wanted to really reeeeally go food shopping I would still make the trip to Whole Foods, but for a last minute quick trip I would go here.

This is a great place for regular grocery shopping. Prices are reasonable and they have a good selection. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. The sushi was good. I have yet to try some of the other pre-​made food but the breaded chicken fingers at the counter look delicious.

After about an hour of walking in the rain, only to find every single coffee shop was packed, I was hungry. I spotted Everything Fresh and thought I’d pop in and grab a snack.
The place is like a mini-​Whole Foods except their salads are somewhat more fresh. For as little as $ 5, you can create your own and the nice people behind the counter will add the dressing and chop it for you if you like.
I enjoyed the salad, however, this place should really think about getting some real seating. Currently, they have what seems to be a cool set-​up with 3 iPad stations by the windows, but when I was there, no one used the iPads; instead, we all awkwardly sat and ate our meals. Getting rid of the iPads or turning that space into a high-​top bar seating area would be more customer friendly.
Free coffee is a bonus! I’ll keep this place in mind when I’m in the neighborhood and looking for something fresh.

This place will do in a pinch. I haven’t been back since the one time I went, since I’m an Instacart loyalist, but I liked it. It’s like a little corner store, but with the fancy organic brands I like. The thing is, I think it’s about the same distance from my apartment as Whole Foods is, so I’ll probably just keep going where I’m used to.
Update: I was walking home from lunch with a friend a few blocks north of here the day after I wrote this review, and I was thinking about where I could find a vegan dessert on the way home. I thought of Everything Fresh, so I guess that’s a good thing.

Grocery shopping in center city can be a real hassle… I love the produce at reading terminal, but they don’t really have dry goods so it’s not a complete shopping trip. Superfresh is just ok, whole foods is too expensive, and while I love trader joe’s, it’s a little far for me to walk and lug groceries home. All that being said, I was pretty pumped to hear of this new grocery store only a few blocks from work and home. I’ve been here twice already and I just heard about it a week ago! The produce is super reasonably priced and they have a pretty good selection. They also have a great assortment of already cut up produce, meats, le bus breads, dairy products, dry and canned goods, and frozen foods. I definitely feel like this store has a lot of what I normally buy and can tide me over on weeks I can’t do a big grocery shopping trip at wegmans (my normal weekend routine).
I also really liked that they have new organic products that I’ve never heard of. I bought a few quick to make containers of soup, oatmeal, and quinoa salad that I’m pretty excited to try. They also have quest bars and other protein bars that were pretty inexpensive. I haven’t tried the salad bar or any of the ready made foods yet but they all looked good and I am definitely planning on trying them soon! You also can’t beat the free coffee or tea with any purchase! I used the self check out which was easy to use and walked out of here a happy camper!

Story:
I asked them if they had ginger tea. (Cause they just give free tea/​coffee with any purchase. and like good quality stuff!) She apologized and said no. She then suggested that she grab some fresh ginger and chop it up for me so that I can put it in my tea! I had a stomach ache all day so this completely eased it, and I walked out the happiest camper ever.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
It’s seriously my dream come true. Although I live in the ‘burbs and can get fairly cheap organic stuff there, it’s nice to have something by work yo! In fact, this place has prices so low that it beats out my local supermarkets (still love you Giant and Wegmans) many times. It especially beats out Whole Foods and even Trader Joe’s at times.
The fruits are reasonably priced, while the veggies are a bit expensive. They have white asparagus too, which I’ve never tried and think is pretty cool lol. During their second week of opening, they put the ’”odd-​looking” clementines in plastic bags and sold em for $ 1.50. THEY WERE ON POINT. Like IDC if they look weird, they were so cheap and so good! (On behalf of my office and I, please bring em back EF!)
Many other organic products that you would find in Whole Foods, like tofu and Amy’s soups, are here at a (again) VERY good price. They have huge Le Bus rolls for solamente 39 cents, and sooo much other stuff. I will make note of their refrigerated sandwiches. They had them for 50% (originally around $ 5), but the quality isn’t thaaaat amazing so I honestly think they should be always 50%. Have yet to try their $ 5 salad bar. OH YOU KNOW I’M GOING TO BE BACK.

Staff is SUPER friendly!!! The first time I walked in, I was pretty much in awe of the amazing prices. One of the owners/​managers greeted me with her British accent (will always sound royal to me EVEN THOUGH THEY INVADED US AND INDIA, EXCUSE ME) and was SO friendly and basically owned the fact that they had great quality stuff for excellent prices.
Gah sorry I know this is turning into an essay, but final note is about their one self-​scan machine. What other supermarket in the city has that?! You GO, Everything Fresh!

What an awesome and welcome addition to Center City! Finally a grocery store with a wide selection of products at reasonable prices. I discovered Everything Fresh while walking down the street and decided to check it out. They offer a variety of goods: bakery, deli, meats, produce, salad bar, frozen foods, drinks, and packaged goods. They have both national brands (Kellogg, Lays, Pillsbury, Breyers) and specialty organic brands. While the space is smaller than a traditional grocery store, I was very impressed with the amount and variety of products they had in stock.
Things I loved: a crate of Darling clementines was 3.99 (DiBruno’s had the nerve to charge 9.99!). They also have the high tech coke vending machine with one faucet and 100 flavors. The employees were incredibly friendly and answered our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.
I’m afraid of others discovering this place because I don’t want it to become overcrowded like Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, but these people are doing something great.

Great prices!
Once or twice I got veggies that were spoiled where I couldn’t see but aside from that, this reasonably placed and conveniently located grocery has become my go-​to — far cheaper than most places you find in Philly — especially the big names like Whole Foods.
They also offer free coffee or tea with any purchase (not sure if this is a temporary promotion or a permanent thing but its great!)

It is so wonderful that this store has finally opened and is close by! They sell the most amazing foods and great prices. Haas avocados are only 99 cents each! The store is neat, clean, well presented and the workers are extremely professional and friendly. I will definitely be a regular shopper!

After years without a decent grocery store in neighborhood, finally Washington Square West got one and we only hope that they will own it. Its not your economic deli but I can compare it to whole food and super fresh. its very refreshing to have happy people who work there greet you with a big smile. good products quality, great selections, and reasonable prices. I Think i will be a frequent shopper.
