Fright Factory

My friends and I came here after being heavily disappointed with Terror Behind the Walls. This haunted house was amazing!!! It scared the daylights out of all of us. When you thought you went through a scene, they would come up behind you for a continued scare. Definitely made our nights better ending with this place. A must go to!!!

This place isn’t bad per-​say but it’s certainly not worth the $ 30 in my opinion. I did get scared in the beginning but then I quickly got use to the fear level. I went with a large group, so we were split in two groups but eventually the groups meshed into 1 giant group which dulled down the experience a little. I also thought one too many rooms where empty, there was nothing there to scare you. I understand no every room needs to have someone jump out at you however I remember walking through 3 rooms in a row with nothing in them. I wish it lasted long as well. I think it only took about 15−20mins to walk through? My favorite part was the tunnel, it made me dizzy but it did enhance the experience. I don’t think I will be coming back next year.

This is the only haunted house I’ve gone to more than once. They scare you when you’re waiting in line and they make sure you get spooked when you’re inside too! Love this place. There was even parts where I felt disgusted, it was awesome! It’s hard to do that to me!

Best. Haunted. House. Ever. Such a great time. The people were professional actors. The costumes and make up were amazing. At one point I was thinking «wow. This is really good. Actually freaky.» Def recommend. And I’m a haunted house Halloween person. Very cool. Loved it

Fantastic. My boyfriend and I went in, just the two of us, and we were very scared. The actors do a great job! I’m not easily scared and have been to plenty of haunts, but I would say this is one of the better ones for sure. We went on a Sunday so the line wasn’t too bad.

One of if not the best Haunted House in the tri-​state area. So worth the extra $ 10 for vip entrance. The actors kill it here! They’re in your face breathing down your neck. I like to interact with them and was impressed with their ability to improv. It is over the top, Nobody in my group was able to get an actor to break character. Lots of great affects. Their makeup artist are on point and I loved the cohesion throughout the costumes. I Almost pissed my pants I definitely woke up with a weak voice from screaming and laughing so much! Nobody is safe as far as where you are in your group line. The actors are relentless to make sure the front, back, and middle of your group are paid some special attention to. So no matter where you are in your group you’ll be entertained. I love the new changes they added to the haunt this year. It Definitely will be top on my list for years to come. It took my group of 4 close to 35mins to go through. I Highly recommended it to be on your 2015 haunt list! A must haunt! Have a frightful time! TIP: Bring an extra pair of panties I think you may need them. I’d rate them a 10 if i could!

Better than my expectations! I went on opening night expecting things to be a bit rusty the first go around, but it was great! The leather face guy in the beginning was good entertainment while you waited to get frisked (no weapons). The rooms were really well done and the pace breaks it up so that you don’t wind up backing up to another group and seeing the scare prematurely. They take you in groups of 5, so plan ahead. If you’re really easily scared, be the first person in the room, they rarely scare the first person in the group. Only change I would add is to make the entrance easier to see. If you’re coming from Snyder you might go into the exit since it’s closer. I stood in the gift shop for about 10 minutes until I realized it was the exit and my friends were on the other side of the building. All the actors get an A+

This haunted house is a must! From the moment you walk in, your heart will start beating fast. My fiancé and I made our way in to what we thought was the beginning of the haunted house and were soo terrified and guess what? it wasn’t even the beginning!!! The actors were amazing, they stood in character the entire time, their costumes were fucking scary, their sets are unbelievable. If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. Everything felt so realistic. The actors would softly sing songs that gave you chills. They will touch you, grab you, creep up behind you, follow you, whisper in your ear, come crawling towards you. It was amazing. I love to get scared, this is the 15^th haunted house that we have gone to since early October (haunted house addicts over here) and we traveled all the way from NYC, like a 2 hour drive. It was so worth it. This place easily made it to the top of our favorites list.

The first time I went to Firght Factory was same time last year when they had the zombie shooting theme set up… For some reason, the set up went wrong and we did not walk through the whole hallways. Today I revisited there for the haunted house… I have to say it is very cool and totally worth checking! It took about 30 — 40mins for us to finish, which is awesome for haunted house. Same as last time, I am VERY impressed by the actors. They did amazing job… freaky man… I went with my friends and there were some areas I just screamed like nuts. They are kind of following you or right in front of your face… if you want scare your pants off, definitely recommend check it out… I hope they change theme next year and I will surely revisit;)

Not bad for a haunted. It wasn’t scary for me but my sister and friends were scared. I don’t think it’s worth $ 30 though, especially since it lasted about 10 min.

Let me say that the Fright Factory was the second only scary maze-​like place I’ve ever been too (first one being the Van Helsing one in Florida I believe).
We got a good deal at about $ 21 per person for a group of four on Groupon, so price-​wise through the discount was really affordable. They also offer student discounts.
The place itself is a little inconspicuous, but for those in the area it is not too far from the IKEA there. Parking is ridiculously hard to find, and the line to get in is very long (we waited two hours).
However, the course itself was really long and we got scared plenty of times. They also post pictures of you on their Facebook for you to find.
All in all, nice place to go for a scare.

The staff is great. The price of admission is very reasonable! It’s a lengthy attraction which I certainly appreciate because I feel that a lot of other attractions are a rip off. Thanks for scaring me again this year!

I went the other day because livingsocial was offering a deal and every year I go to Eastern State pen and I wanted to try something new this year. It was actually really good. This is a haunted walk through in a factory hence the name fright factory lol. The costumes were really good! The decorations were really good as well, you can tell they took their time in creating this attraction. The actors did a really good job, they kept walking with people who were scared. There is parking right next to the fright factory and street parking all around that is easy to find.

Most of these reviews are from three years ago, so I feel like they need an update. I went last night and was terrified. First off, it being opening weekend, it was half off. $ 15 for regular, $ 20 for VIP. So it being cold, we shelled out an extra $ 5 to get VIP and just totally skipped the entire line. We were screaming before we got to the actual start of it. The actors were great. So crazy and freaky looking, they follow you and legit breathe down your neck. It was super long too, like a half hour-​40 minutes. Definitely will be recommending this place.

I really wish I could give this a better rating. Like others have said, the effort was there and the characters were good. However, the wait was ridiculous! Went on a Saturday night and left early expecting a long wait, but we were in line for hours! And as soon as you get out of one line, you end up in another.
Once we got in it was fun (not scary) just like most haunted houses, but I didn’t think it was worth that long of a wait =/​
EDIT: in response to the comment, I think I should point out that this review is just very overdue. Its in regards to my visit in 2012, but my review still stands. For those that had a better experience, good for you.

We did this directly after Terror Behind the Walls. Had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to get in the door (but we arrived at 8pm, probably the worst time), however once we were in, move pretty quickly through each of the haunts. The characters and props were well done. Actors seems enthused and invested.
Definitely worth doing once, not sure we will do it again though with so many other options around. I will say that the area you have to drive into to park seems pretty rough.

indoor fright! If you aren’t for being outdoors at a farm to get scared than this is the place for you. This place is located in an abandoned factory building in Philly. I was a bit scared just driving on the street it was located but eventually figured it out. I had a lot of fun. We got there as it opened on a sunday night and were highly impressed as to how scared we got and had a lot of fun. We had our fright picture taken which was funny to look at when the evening was over. They had a good 4 sections to scare you and were creative in their themes for each event. I highly recommend this place as an indoor fright factory I haven’t seen any other indoor places that match up to it all my other experiences were outdoors.
Go early be the first to enter the place so you don’t waste your time being in lines all night.
Look for the coupons to get into this place cheaper than the rest. Living social had a few this year. Avg regular price is $ 30 most haunted places are about the same price.

I am a total pansy when it comes to haunted houses, but I wasn’t expecting anything more than some quick startles from a couple of zombie and goblin-​masked folks for this visit to the factory. My pansy side shined through however as soon as the ‘gatekeeper’ yelled out «Specimens!» and sent us off into the dark!
The lead-​up to the tour was a 2-​hour wait in line outside, and another good 20 – 25 min inside. Of course the whole time there were questions of whether it would be worth the wait or not. And as much of a scaredy-​cat as I am, I have to say it was. Each party got their own run through the 4 phased tour. This definitely added to the fright, and for some, excitement — not knowing what was going to creepliy greet you around each dark corner. I admit I latched on to the members on my group, with my eyes to the floor or closed for most of the walk through.
The scariest part was undoubtedly, the last course — coming face to face with bloody zombies and insane asylum inmates (who just had to call out your name repeatedly if they heard it — creeeepy) was a breeze compared to what was the icing on the horror cake — the little girl zombies who would yelling and chasing after you ! definitely had my blood pressure up through that one.
As much as i ‘hated’ going through each part i have to say this house of horrors definitely defined what a fright factory is!

An abattoir with bodies swinging from hooks. A steaming pile of human entrails sliding off a table. A mad doctor flaying the skin off tortured souls. Could the Fright Factory really be that intense? Not really but it was still great fun!
We stopped by about 7:30 to find a lot of people buying tickets on a sweltering Friday night. There seemed to be some opening night logistics happening and we experienced a 20 minute delay before the action began.
We were escorted to the first door in groups of 6. For the next 20 minutes we were paired and scared together. Long dark corridors with things that go bump in the night. Asylum patients jump from dark recesses to beg for salvation. Did something just grab my leg? Yup, that might happen in this house of horrors.
Of course the best way to get the maximum effect is to check your rational mind at the door and just let yourself go. The wife and I did just that and had a fine time!
It’s clear that this place is going to be a popular destination this Halloween season. It can be tough to find and a GPS will help to ease that pain. Expect parking to be a bit of a challenge. Never the less, it will be a fun weekend event for families with impressionable kids!
