Great vibe, people & hair care! Its hard finding someone to trust with my natural hair to make it look good without burning my hair. Didnt go to Gene, but I want to give him a try next time! Everyones hair looked good, you can definitely go to a place like this to start a hair journey.

I loved the salon & the staff. There’s no waiting around as with typical black salons. They are prompt & extremely courteous. I got a perm & a short haircut. I was kinda afraid seeing all that hair fall to the floor but the results were fantastic. My stylist was the owner Gene & he did an awesome job on my hair. Two people stopped me on the street to ask about my hair right after I left the salon. I gave a 4 star because it was a bit pricier then other salons but the service is far more superior.

I love this salon! My stylist, Chantel, is very talented and sweet. My daughters, granddaughter, aunt, and son all go there and we all leave there smiling and styling!

Gene is an amazing stylist. My hair was blowing in the wind fabulous when he was done. My daughter’s natural hair is shining and silky once he is done his magic. All the stylist there are talented and have clearly benefitted from Gene’s knowledge. Everyone was polite and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed.

I enoyed my experience here. I was in need of a hair stylist because my current stylist is on maternity leave. I searched and searched and came across this salon on Unilocal*.The salon had wondeful reviews, so I decided to give them a play. I called and spoke to the receptionist who was by far the nicest salon receptionist I have ever spoken to. I made an appt. with Gene. I came in 5 days prior to my appt for a consultation, showed him a pic, he said he could do it and that was that. He did a wonderful job on my hair. I go a sixteen inch romance curl weave on a liquid cap. He showed me how to pin curl my hair (I’m not used to long hair). It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still getting compliments. BTW, I didn’t have to wait at all which is a plus plus. Their prices are kind of high and it’s a distance from my home but other than that I loved it.

I just wanna start by saying I LOVE GENE! He is SOOOOO professional but fun at the same time and ALWAYS fabulous from head to toe! The salon is beautiful, shampoo girls are so sweet and the prices are resonable. He does good weaves, and natural hair, pretty much everything! The salon is pretty far from where I live but its well worth the travel. You will never wait hours to get your hair done like most salons, when you walk in you are assited within minutes! Its not until you go to another salon that you appreciate the little things this salon offers you, like water, coffee, the shampoo girls ask ing if the water is okay, they put your feet up while your hair gets washed, its great! I usually go to gene but lisa the other stylist is good too and seems like a sweetheart!

I stalked a friend of mine for years before I finally got the nerve to ask who did her hair… I could kick myself for waiting so long! Gene — the owner of the salon– is a wizard with scissors! I have natural hair and he didn’t blink when I decided to go with a short straight pixie cut. I brought a picture –which he studied for a while before he said anything. He talked me through the cut before he touched my hair and suggested making modifications because I have no relaxer. Nothing he did compromised the cut at all! I get compliments on my ‘doALL the time! Did I mention the man flat ironed my hair so good I in has not snapped back in a week? I went bike riding for 3 hours, the weather has been humid (it even rained yesterday) and I was accused by a friend of having a relaxer! LOL! Gene is a hidden gem in West Philly and I love his work. I trust him completely and have even responded to his questions with — «What ever you want to do.» trust me — when you are as opinionated as I am. that speaks volumes! G. Casamera is a MUST GO SALON! The man knows his stuff and you will be fabulous when you leave!

Gene (the owner) is a great stylist! If I wasn’t a poor student, I’d be there everyother week. I have natural hair and he’s the only stylist who never tried to rip a comb through it! I haven’t been in a while. But I am dying for a cut!
