Genesis Nails & Spa

Although the service itself has not changed and it is still pretty great, I absolutely have to update my old review.
I have been coming here regularly for months, and lately, as often as once a week.
Today, AFTER PAYING FOR MY SERVICES, I found out I would have had enough points to get them for free. They didn’t want to refund my money and asked if I could simply get it free next time.
I wish they had been clearer about the points needed, since I had no clue i was even remotely close to getting a free service. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and after getting my free pedicure next week, I’m not sure I’ll be back as often. What a bummer.

Just moved here & I have heard that Genesis in North Libs is great, all my friends go there. I had received a gift card to get my nails done, so I decided to go to the new location on Walnut since it was closer to my house. It was a Tuesday so it was empty in there so they took me right away. I started with my pedi, the girl hardly scrubbed the bottom of my feet then I asked for french & someone else had to come to paint my toes (not a big deal) but I think that if you work at a nail salon you should know how to do french. Then I went to get a mani & a 3^rd person came to do my nails (a man). He cut my nails so short that my finger tips were sore for days, he didn’t cut my cuticles & the water that I put my hands in was cold. I then went to dry my nails & all I heard about was the amazing massage that you receive while your nails are drying, well mine lasted about 30 – 45 seconds literally. I was so aggravated. I was looking at my nails & another girl came over saw how horrible they were & offered to redo them. I was there over an hour at this point, I didn’t have all day to get a mani/​pedi & told her that I didn’t have time. She kept apologizing and gave me a coupon to come back. I’ll never go back there. They also would not honor my gift card stating that they are not associated with Genesis Nails in North Lib!?! If that’s the case they need to change their name so Genesis nails doesn’t get a bad reputation. I’ll try the one in North Lib & update you…

Just as great as the original Genesis in No Libs! I came here when Genesis 1 was booked and was happy to find plenty of staff on hand and ready to pamper me. My mom and I each got a gel mani and signature pedi. Perfection — hot stones, good exfoliation, long massage! Color selection was great and the space is open and clean. With two Genesis locations now there’s really no reason for me to go anywhere else!
