Wow, what an awful experience. I will admit that the initial buying process was casual and my salesman, Lou, largely left me alone to shop around. I purchased a few showcases and slat wall shelving and assorted accessories for my store. The problems arose when I attempted to return a few items that we didn’t need and over-bought. This is when my salesman went from Jeckyl to Hyde and it was rather shocking to see such a huge shift in attitude and was akin to speaking to another person completely. First, the register stand and case I purchased as «new» were in fact the floor models when they were delivered. Lou made no mention of this whatsoever and these pieces had obviously been on the floor for a substantial period of time as the upper shelving on the register it was loose and was missing large pieces of wood just below the vinyl seam on the top. Needless to say, I was not happy about this as again, there was no mention of my delivered unit being a floor display. I also received incorrect items such as slat wall inserts that were wrong, incorrect racking, and a few pieces that simply did not fit as they were expected to and I was severely over-charged on a display addition, everything was FILTHY. At least attempt to wipe it down before you deliver it… I drove back to Gershel brothers to inform them of the situation and request a NEW unit. That’s when it all changed. Friendly sales guy had an immediate attitude about my complaints. Now keep in mind, all of my complaints are perfectly valid and I didn’t walk in ranting and raving or making a scene. He told me that he would not replace everything(I wasn’t asking for that) and told me that the slat wall inserts were what I asked for. After a half dozen«yes you did» and«no I didn’t» proclamations, he said OK look, I am not going to argue with you(after he already did) I will give you the correct piece. And hilariously, he AGAIN gave me the wrong piece! We couldn’t fit all the pieces to return in my small sub so we made a second trip. The return trip was even more entertaining. Lou flat out told me he would not accept a return on the display case, period! And just walked away. Could hardly believe the rudeness I was seeing. This flies directly in the face of their own 30 day policy, which we were well inside of. We requested the manager(who’s name I didn’t catch) but he was equally rude and denied the return. That’s when I threatened to contact American Express and have then settle this, he relented and angrily told us to back up to the dock where the case was unloaded. We were then threatened about making any further returns whether they were within the allotted time frame or not. I have the evidence as he took the time to write as much on our receipt. All in all, I would NEVER shop at Gershel Brothers, nor would I recommend anyone else does… ever. Use the Internet for far better and much more professional suppliers. I used a few and it was a dream. Or search for basically ANYOTHEROPTION if you need store fixtures. This happened over a week ago and I still feel aggravated about how we were treated by Gershel Brothers… now watch out for the overly enthusiastic reviews to come in… lol

Good spot bought slat wall for my garage from Joe at Gershel Brothers. Called in my order and when I got there was ready to load into my truck. Quick and painless nothing better than that.
