This place is insanely good. I think about their tacos daily. They have a buy 3 get 1 free taco special during the week. It’s dangerous! I’ve tried both chicken and pork, but I can’t decide which one I like better. The sauce they give you is ridiculously good. Very small in there, but they somehow manage to get your food out super fast. I could seriously eat here every day. Hidden gem.

My boyfriend introduced me to Giwa one day– he had been going there for lunch while working in Center City, and was in the mood to make his former co-workers jealous(who no longer live in the area). He had raved about the Korean tacos, and said they would change my world. He was right. Two come to an order, but I recommend getting three. Two just isn’t enough, you will want more and more. What are these glorious tacos? Korean style taco in a tortilla with spicy pork or spicy chicken, cheddar cheese, sour cream, onion, cilantro, lime juice, rice and fresh lettuce. I prefer the pork to the chicken, but the chicken is delicious as well. There’s just something about these tacos that make you melt in your seat with happiness. They come with a spicy sauce to dip in– don’t worry, it’s not too spicy– and they make them just that much better. I seriously cannot rave about these tacos enough. I’ve also had their Dol Sot Bimbibop. For those of you who think I just spoke gibberish, I basically did. Bimbibop: Variety of vegetables(mixed greens, radish, bean sprout, carrot) and julienne egg over rice with spicy hot pepper sauce. When you add the«dol sot» part to it, you add the bimbibop to a super hot stone bowl. This bowl seriously is the hottest thing imaginable– the food comes out steaming and sizzling, and you want to make sure not to touch it with your hands, or you will get burned. You also want to make sure to mix the bowl up to allow some of the steam out, or else it will just be too hot to eat. The real way to eat it is(I believe) to keep stirring it so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom. I however, am horrible at this, and always end up with a layer of hard, sticky, crunchy rice(which I find delicious). While there are other items on the menu, I simply would recommend these two dishes. If I am going here, I am getting one of the two, nothing else, and I don’t feel bad that I won’t try anything else. And now… I need to go get those tacos.
