I like GNC I really do. But I wish they knew the time old adage of «more isn’t always better». I bought 1000mg fish oil and they tried to sell me on like 3000mg fish oil (which incidentally was more expensive). I knew what I was doing, the only reason to take 3000mg of fish oil is if you are hell bent on becoming a salmon. I appreciate being told the specials when I am there, but sometimes I feel harassed to buy a different «better product». And all that stress could damage my heart health… which would require me to buy more fish oil.

I’ve always had good experiences in this GNC. I have a Gold Card and usually go during the first week of the month when you get a discount for having the card (15% or 20%, can’t remember which). Folks, vitamins and supplements are expensive, and you definitely get what you pay for brand-​wise. This place is no more expensive than any other.
The manager here is always super helpful and knows a lot about their products. The staff are also personable and friendly. Really, I can’t think of an off-​putting experience here and I’ve been a semi-​regular customer for several years.

Buyer beware! I was traveling and stopped in this GNC to purchase some muscle milk lite (liquid). I purchased a four-​pack and paid cash. I was not given a receipt. I went back to my hotel room and worked out and then went to down a muscle milk lite. I opened it and found it bitter and curdled so I looked at the expiration date: March 2012. So I went back the next morning seeking an exchange. The same person wasn’t there and the person who was acted suspicious since I didn’t have a receipt. All I wanted was an exchange so we went back to the cooler and he pulled out some other muscle milk all of which had the same March 2012 expiration date. He didn’t remove any of these from the cooler which didn’t sit right with me. I ended up with Myoplex lite which had an expiration date of Oct. 2012 (a bit better since it is late August but note it is near the expiration date). He gave me an exchange at no cost which I do appreciate BUT when I pointed out he needed to remove the expired products in the cooler he made no move to jot this down or do anything about it. I will try to stop by here again before I return home to check and see if they ever remove the expired product and I will publish an update either way.
