I’ve been there only twice, for emergencies, because he’s not on my insurance network. But I’ve found him very competent, professional and helpful. I was also grateful to be taken on short notice, because both times I was about to leave for a trip. He took care of each problem extremely satisfactorily(and, I thought, for a fair price). He was recommended by a friend who’s seen him for years, and I’m glad for the recommendation. By the way, the waiting room was perfectly clean! And Dr. Goldberg was dressed as I expect a medical professional to be dressed. I can’t imagine what that other reviewer was talking about.

By no means am I uptight or a stickler, but I do expect a certain level of professionalism when I go to a doctor’s or dentist’s office. Good luck finding that here… My insurance changed, so I had to leave the dentist I had been going to, and was looking for one close to home without a long wait to get in. I should have known I was in for trouble because the waiting room looked dirty and umkempt. When I arrived to my appointment, I had to wait to be given paperwork because the receptionist was chatting with a tech about her pregnant teenage daughter and her subsequent episiotomy(no joke, I couldn’t make this up). There was no glass partition so she clearly knew that the other patients and I could hear her entire conversation. After filling out some forms, I was seen by a hygenist. She told me that she rotates between different offices in Center City, so she’s not permanently at this office. The cleaning was fine, but she got up in the middle of it so that she could chat with a visiting drug rep about her tailgating plans for the weekend! Now, I love tailgating as much as the next girl, but couldn’t this conversation have taken place on the phone after my appointment?!? The dentist then came over, dressed slovenly in all denim scrubs(I didn’t even know they had those). He spent an awkward 30 seconds with me before he told me I could go. Trust me, I couldn’t wait to get out of there!
