Mmm been going here since I was a kid. They quietly changed hands and sold the place to new owners. I actually was friends with the mom who ran it with the father. The food definitely tasted better when the original owners had it and was beautifully seasoned and just right. They had it down to a science and could tweak things if you asked. And most importantly they were«Clean«and u could see what they were doing in the kitchen. That hasn’t changed but the taste of the food has… It doesn’t suck but it’s a I’ll better than average. It also depends on the dish too. There is a few chinese take out places in this area and they would be better than most so(also cleaner and safer) So try it and you’ll see what I mean. It use to be completely safe when i was younger but times have changed everywhere and u get a little riff raft in there sometimes so keep ur eyes open. They get a very good young to middle aged to older clientele and are honest no nonsense folk and that’s a good thang ol school don’t play :-) There’s also another chinese place on wadsworth ave & Pickering St. A few blocks up cheltenham ave between the 2 places u can get some pretty decent meals too but again it also depends on the dish(sometimes I go to both to round out my taste buds)(I don’t know about you I just don’t like bad chinese food so I make my experiences happen the way i need to… to have a good dining experience even if it’s not fine dining… I still like to eat good) but definitely again watch yourself @ the second place. Way more riff raft @ certain times of the day and weekends but they too get a good diverse group of mature folk as well as the riff raft I speak of… and I don’t wanna scare u guys off as much as I wanna make u aware of your surroundings while trying to get a tasty meal I hope this helps

I’ve never seen a Chinese person buying food from a Chinese carry-out, which I find highly suspicious! …could it be that fried chicken smothered in «General Tsa’s» sauce isn’t an authentic Chinese dish? Nonsense! The General Tsau’s chicken at Hong Kong Garden was hot, greasy, and plentiful. The bill came to $ 9.64… but all we had was $ 9, so that’s what we paid. I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this restaurant, but it will suffice in a «Man, it’s10:30 and I’m starved» pinch.
