Jefferson Digestive Health, Dr. Kozuch

Dr. Kozuch is the best! She is very thorough and is aware of the most current developments in her field. My previous gastroenterologist obviously had not kept up on the developments of the past 15 or so years and tried to just give me a few pills, was hesitant to run any tests and seemed to not really take me seriously. Dr. Kozuch makes you feel comfortable as does the rest of the staff at Jefferson Digestive who are all incredibly friendly and warm (even when you’re in at 6AM for unpleasant tests). During an emergency I interacted with another on-​call doctor from Jefferson Digestive who was also incredibly warm, friendly and competent.
Another huge plus is that Dr. Kozuch is accommodating of complementary medicine and even reviewed and okayed the Metagenic products that my accupuncturist recommended.
The only con is that it can take up to 3 months to get an inital appointment with Dr. Kozuch (yes, she is that good) but the staff will get you in more quickly if you are in distress.
