My friend recommended me here for a quick chicken cheesesteak and fries platter and wow is it good! The place is on the corner of 62nd and Grays and looks like a «corner store» from the outside, but you can order hot food in the back of the store. Come during lunch time and get a platter with a free can soda! It’s better to have cash on hand to pay, but they do accept debit but not credit so be aware. The food is always on point and the service is always great. Nice bunch of ladies working the grill. :-)

I grew up in this neighborhood and this was one of my go-to places for a hoagie or lunch platter. My all-time favorite will always be the fried shrimp platter with fries(mine always had cheez whiz added). The shrimp was always fresh and crispy just like the fries and the cheez made it that much better. The platter also comes with a side of cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of kick in it. I also indulged in the cheesesteak platters as well. They have a variety of specialty sandwiches, hoagies, breakfast platters, fruit platters, and your usual neighborhood grocery items. The owner is great and he’s considered a long time friend of mine. I will have to pay him and a shrimp platter a visit soon.
