Dishonest! Be very careful before going: they tried to sell me things that I don’t need.
I dropped in on ⁷⁄₁₆ around 9am to see if they could patch a flat. It was obvious that they were swamped, so I left the tire to be picked up later while I drove on my spare and the serviceman said that he would call when complete.
At noon I hadn’t heard anything, so I called at 12 and 1pm but there was no answer. At 3pm I stopped in, and my tire hadn’t moved from where I originally placed it, leaning against the front wall in between two bay doors. The same gentlemen said that he just finished looking at it and was getting ready to call. He found there was damage to the sidewall and it could not be replaced and he quoted me $ 115 for a new tire. I didn’t believe his story, so I left and went to another tire place.
The other place is called Affordable Tire in Vineland, NJ, near where I work, and they found a nail in the tread, and nothing wrong with the sidewall. They charged my $ 9 and I was done in 10 minutes. I also I gave them a review on Unilocal to back it up.

Great place. Very trustworthy crew. They are very honest and accurate with any estimates they provide and are great with service. Would definitely recommend to people in the area who need anything from inspection to any repairs. Also, they have mailer coupons which you can usually find on the web, so worth looking before you go.

Friendly, honest, and quick to help you, if you have problems with your car or want to rent a moving van (that’s not the hellish U-​Haul), this is the place to check in.
Their tiny lot seemed to be busy with cars and you might have to leave your car there for a few days, but don’t worry, it’s in good hands.
Pricing is fair and they’re honest with what they’re going to do and what you don’t need to do (yet).

They did two repairs for us. One they saved us $ 700 over another tire shop and the other only charged us $ 28.00 when they could have told us anything-​and charged us anything to get rid of a scraping noise. I consider these guys very honest with their advice and reasonable with their prices.

I learned that all four tires needed to be replaced on my BMW after my most recent oil change/​inspection at the dealership. BMW said it would cost approximately $ 1300 to replace all four. Bend over!
I went to John Gabriel for new tires instead. I called ahead of time to make sure that they had the right tire size for my car in stock… They ordered the tires that I needed into their store on Ridge Ave and were able to provide same-​day serivice for my car. Bob took great care of me, didn’t try to oversell me on anything I didn’t need, and he even told me to bring my car back in for a free rotation when the time comes. Four new tires from these guys cost just under $ 600 — over 50% less than what the dealer quoted me.
Can’t recommend these guys highly enough!

I needed to get a tire replaced on my 2011 Acura– and specifically was looking for the exact same tire to replace it with. This began as a bit of a chore, but after being referred to Gabriel’s by a friend, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The manager, Bob, took the time to make sure he could find an exact tire match for me– and did so in such and awesome timeframe. The honest, friendly, and helpful staff at Gabriel’s was great. I will definitely be back with any future car maintenance needs.

I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. It’s filled with the nicest bunch of people. They will always do what is best for the customer, not their own wallet. I have a good recent example. I knocked off the mirror on my car. Instead of going the lazy route and ordering it straight from Toyota they spent their own time finding me a used version of it that cost me ¹⁄₃ the price. Then I thought that they would gouge me with labor and it was well under $ 80! If I’d gone to the dealership I would have paid $ 300 for the part and $ 150 for the labor. They saved me at least $ 150! Seriously they are the most honest guys you could ever use.

This is my go to spot for any problems with tires. Be it alignments, cambers or castors, flats, rotations– you name it, they do it. And the customer service is fantastic: the first time i took my car there I had a flat and when I arrived they were closed for the night so i had to leave my car in the lot and my key with a note in the door. Despite not knowing me from Adam and never having worked on my car before, I got a call at about 11:00 the next morning telling me that my tire couldn’t actually be repaired, so they just went ahead and got the spare out of my trunk and put it on for me.
I must admit that I did not discover this spot– I only got a car 8 months ago, but my parents and friends have been using Gabriel for as long as I can remember… I think that alone might be the best review I can give them– they are an inherited mechanic that has been great for generations!

In my two years of car-​ownership in Philadelphia, this place saved me time and time again. Starter not working? Need for new tires? Exhaust pipe precariously dangling close to the road? They fixed everything (I had an old car, OK?) for a reasonable price within a pretty quick timeframe. They were always friendly over the phone and in person, and have no qualms about explaining what’s wrong and what you need in layman’s ters.
I wouldn’t wish the burden of needing extreme car repairs (or a set of new tires) on anyone, but if such misfortunes happen, this is a great place to get them fixed.

I highly recoomend Gabriels. With a name like that — how can you go wrong? The staff here are delightful and they are very honest. Multiple times I have gone there to get a tire replaced and they keep insisting in repairing it. I trust these folks and their work is very good.

Now, couple reasons for five-​stars:
1. The staff are excellent and have great attitudes, even though this is in Philadelphia!
2. They actually know what they are doing in general.
3. Always deliver as promised (punctuality, quality of work, etc).
Unfortunately I moved away from this area, so i dont use them anymore. However, I strongly recommend these folks for auto-​repair, especially if you live close to this neighborhood.
