Joyce Leslie is a trendy juniors clothing store. Their prices are relatively low and affordable. The quality of the clothing is not the best but for the price you generally don’t mind. Some of the items are extremely well-made and will last for years to come but most items are trendy and not expected to last all that long. There are a lot of clothing racks in the store so it’s harder to get around as it’s a really tight fit. They put up nice displays and the items are generally neat and orderly which makes finding things super easy. They have ample dressing rooms so you can try things on to be sure they fit before you leave. This is a great place to shop without breaking the bank. My only complaint is they do not really have any coupons or promotions and they closed the online store so now you can only shop in the brick-and-mortar stores.

This particular Joyce Leslie store has succeeded in irritating me every single time I visit. Why, you ask? Because they force you to sign the back of your credit card in pencil before they’ll swipe it. This, to me, makes absolutely no sense at all. If I stole someone’s credit card and it said«SEEID» on the back of it and I went to use it at Joyce Leslie, they would *not* ask for ID, they would simply have me — the thief — sign the back of the card. «That’s our policy» the cashier said at my last visit. In addition to that nonsense, you’re pretty much guaranteed to see the the butt crack of at least half of the staff people, and be ignored on at least one occasion. But hey, they’ve got lots of cheap crap and a terrible return policy, so why not shop til you drop!

I’ve never seen a fight break out here but I love how everything eventually goes on sale for 75% off or something crazy like that. I still have plenty of JL clothes that are years old and still good, but quality is definitely variable. Still one of my fave stores because they have a huge variety and reasonable prices and best of all, great sales. They don’t get 5 stars tho bc they coulda hung curtains in the dressing room plus the staff is generally indifferent and not super friendly.

Shopping in Joyce Leslie is always an adventure. On two seperate occasions I have witnessed fist fights between girls there, who clearly didn’t give a damn about the huge security guard at the front door. If you don’t mind crawling through tightly spaced racks and changing in cubicles with no curtains, then this is the place for you! There are actually some really cute clothes in here, and once I get past my irritation that I need to get a large in most of the items that I like, I end up taking home at least a few things every time. They also have a pretty good selection of shoes, jewelry and lingerie. Note: these are not meant to be fashions that will last you a lifetime(or even close for that matter) but they are super cute and super cheap, which is fine with me since I get bored of clothes in a few months anyway.
