Best bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches in the neighborhood, hands down.(And I grew up on the classic NYC BECs, so I’m hard to please with these.) Quick and friendly service. Great selection of grocery items, especially spices and sauces. And a parking lot! What more could you ask for.

I have been frequenting Kimey’s for about 3 years now and I’ve loved seeing it evolve over the years. The woman who works at the counter is so cute and friendly and once, when my credit card was declined and I didn’t have enough cash, she let my pay on the honor code because she knew I was a long-time customer. The store was recently remodeled and the awesome deli guy from Super Deli now works at Kimey’s, which is an added bonus. There’s also a cat that lives there and usually hangs out in the beverage section. As far as the food goes, I couldn’t really ask for better from a local deli. Their hoagies and breakfast sandwiches are perfection – my go-to is turkey bacon, egg whites, and cheese on a croissant with«saltpepperketchup.» And the store is also a mini market where you can pick up unexpected things like organic milk, whole wheat bread, lentil chips, quinoa granola and greek yogurt, as well as the unusual pantry staples, cigarettes/cigars, etc., appealing to their varied customer-base in the neighborhood. They also carry the essentials like toilet paper, cleaning products, and detergent. If you’re in the area and looking for a good cheap meal, I highly recommend Kimey’s.

Classic West Philly deli for all your hangover needs. Probably the best place to get a bacon, egg, and cheese to cure you Saturday or Sunday morning headaches.

The staff is very friendly! And they have all the essential items. I also tried their breakfast sandwiches and they are definitely worth the price. You can choose from more than 10 choices of meat for your egg and cheese. The price depends on what kind of bread you want. I got the croissant which was $ 3.99. Their items like orange juice and milk are a little more expensive than the large grocery store so you are definitely paying for the convenience. Both were about $ 5 rounding up. But I will definitely come back !

Kimey’s is the ultimate convenience store. They have the usual stuff: drinks, chips and hoagies. But beyond that they have an amazing assortment of healthy, high end food! Frozen Amy’s entrees, Greek yogurt, even vegan cheese! And the prices are completely decent.

I was a little iffy about grabbing breakfast here while visiting town with a couple friends.(We were randomly wandering the city Sunday morning and had trouble finding a reasonable priced place for breakfast. Where are all the diners in this area?) .This and the deli across the street kind of look out of place(a bit run down) in this nicer, older neighborhood, but we stopped in anyway. It pretty much looks like a ghetto mini mart, but they have a nice sized breakfast menu and they make other sandwiches as well. The platters come with two eggs(your choice of style), a side(sausage, etc.), and pancakes or french toast. Nothing impressive, but it was quick and cheap, and I didn’t get food poisoning from eating it! While waiting for the order, the phone was ringing off the hook of people ordering breakfast sandwiches, which reassured me. They also have a decent selection of convenience-store type items. Not too sure if the cat wandering the aisles is really up to health code, but he/she was very friendly, as were the workers. It would have been better if there was a table outside, but we just walked to a nearby park.

Kimey’s Place is the neighborhood gem of cornerstores in Powelton Village. For years, Drexel students, including myself, frequented 7 – 11 only to find out that nearly everything is out of stock. Kimey’s has things useful for every household that you could only find by going to Target. Vast selection of cold drinks. Scrumptious breakfast sammies. Great customer service!

Great place. Great variety of products. All the staples you would need for your home kitchen and more. Clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. They treat my wife and daughter really very nicely. However, a bit pricey.

Dear Kimey’s, You had me at baconeggandcheesesaltpepperketchup, but I love to wander your aisles and peruse the drink selection, which is so incredibly varied that I am actually a little intimidated. You have kombucha AND orange Fanta in a glass bottle? Granted, all I ever drink is Diet Coke, but I appreciate that you have at least 5 different brands of iced tea. And that BLK water stuff… Point is, you have a lot of stuff. And decent hot food. And I like it.

UPDATE2(Dec 08): They have opened again, and are a bit bigger and much nicer looking. Kimey’s Place is right across the street from the Super Deli, so basically if you’re in the area you need to decide which one to go to. Kimey’s is much less ghetto than Super Deli, especially since their recent renovation, but they’re still a bit smaller. The ATM works virtually all of the time, which is a big plus. They have cereal for $ 3 a box, which is pretty cheap, and milk for like $ 5.50 a gallon, which is not cheap. Most other stuff is priced normally. They have a small hot section that I tried once; it was cheap and passable. The deli does have real bacon, unlike Charley’s. They’re the only place we’ve found that has large cans of normal tomato juice for cooking, instead of just small bottles for drinking. Generally the selection is a little worse than Super Deli, because they’re not as big, but it’s not too bad. This is certainly not a suburban supermarket, but it has a better selection than the Seven Eleven for those who can use a stove and don’t wish to survive on taquitos.
