Kron Brian OD

I actually joined Unilocal just to review Dr. Kron; I liked him that much. I didn’t do it when I first joined, though (shame on me), so I am doing it now.
I’ve seen Dr. Kron twice now, and the experience was the same. Dr. Kron and his assistant are both very nice and very helpful. Dr. Kron makes interesting conversation while he works. He’ll ask about your work, your kids, etc. and is genuinely interested. It’s nice.
He’s also good at what he does. I had trouble getting the right glasses prescription before I saw him. Maybe because I had previously been to America’s Best and Walmart, but it was very gratifying finally being able to see out of my glasses!
Also, it’s cheap. The selection is not vast, but I’ve always found something I like. I just got two pairs and an eye exam for $ 115 and it’s not even a special.
You can probably go in the day you call for an appointment. Today, I called for an appointment at 11:15 and was seen at 11:30. You may even be able to just walk in, but it’s not hard to call first.
It looks like they accept all major medical carriers’ vision plans, as well as Davis and EyeMed. I’m almost positive that are not in-​network with VSP. You can submit a paper claim for OON reimbursement for any insurance not accepted.
I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Kron to family and friends.

I called to shop around for a new optometrist, and the receptionist was not friendly at all over the phone. Cost is extra cheap but I guess you pay for what you get. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

This man is amazing. He’ll make your eye appointment go much faster with interesting conversation. He’s lived in South Philly for quite a while, and will share tons of little tidbits about the neighborhoods, restaurants, etc.
The receptionist is patient and friendly. The office is a corner spot, making it easy to find. I’m not sure about parking since I rode my bike, but it shouldn’t be too difficult during the day when everyone’s at work.
I would recommend him. I am recommending him. Now. Stop procrastinating, your eyes need to be pampered. Okay?
