I used to swear by this place. It’s a food truck that DELIVERS. Their food is tasty, but their service has gone down hill. I ordered, as I usually order at least once every 2 weeks. Their delivery time is usually a little longer than I would like, but I dealt with it because I liked their food. This time around I waited an hour before calling to see where my food was. No answer. I called again no answer. They just never showed up. If they were having some type of problem, they should have called and told me they were unable to deliver the order. They had me waiting and waiting. Not to mention, they raised their prices significantly from when I first started going there. A chicken quesadilla and 3 steak tacos used to come out to $ 12. Now it comes to a whopping $ 20. I will pass. Especially in a part of the city where there are a plethora of good mexican restaurants.

I really do like this taco truck. I’m a big fan of the Cemita and the Burrito. However, it is expensive for what it is. Burritos are $ 9 and some of the Tortas are between $ 10 and $ 12. Food is fresh and it takes them a while to make your order(which is fine, because it’s fresh food). They are open super late, so that’s nice if you work late.

I would describe their offerings as a whole, good but not great. The tacos are the best thing on the menu, those are pretty great. The burritos and quesadillas? Probably too much cheese. Yes, there is such a thing. I’ve also had a torta which was pretty great. But that brings me to another point, one torta + a soda was $ 15. Call me crazy, but I’ve paid for large hoagies that have only topped out around $ 9 – 10. Their sodas are $ 2. So, did I pay for a $ 13 sandwich from a non-gourmet food truck? Something doesn’t add up. The pricing seems to be flexible, and not in the favor of the customer. But, they’re in my neighborhood(7th& Tasker) from 2pm to 3 or 4am nearly every evening, so I can’t complain about that.

Worst service I’ve encountered yet in Philly. Driver called me 6 times to tell me he was almost there, had me waiting on the porch for 25 minutes. And then never showed. And every time I said 15th Street, he’d repeat back, I know, 16th. I understand that English is not the first language most of the time, but when you’re waiting an hour for food before you realize it’s not showing up, it’s not a place that should be in business for long.

Located on 7th just below Tasker, the folks here offer the closest thing I can compare to the quesadillas I came to know and love in Chicago(two words: queso chihuahua). The refried beans and rice are good if not great. I see lots of stuff on offer you wouldn’t find elsewhere that I’m looking forward to trying(e.g. cabeza bistec) and yes, they have a LOT of Bimbo as well as Barcel.
