Law Offices of Eric A Shore

Although I am not a lawyer and can not give advice to any other cases, I will share my experience.
After being denied in my case, I turned to the Law Offices of Eric A Shore. The staff was quick and knowledgeable. After a month or so, I developed a relationship with the case working provided to me. She was easy to call and email. My case became a «dire need» situation due to financial issues due to the time it took for Social Security to file my claim. It was quickly moved to trial where I was awarded fully favorable in my case.
After granted a favorable decision, the law office took 25% of the back pay as well as an additional $ 32 for paperwork fee.
The only part of the process I did not like was the lawyer assigned to my case on trail date. This was a third party lawyer used since the law offices was not physically in my area. The Law Offices of Eric A Shore simply gathered the data, filed the paperwork, and then forwarded it to the third party lawyer.
This third party (my apologies, I can not remember her name) met me for the first time on trial date, reviewed the information 15 mintutes prior, and then represented me. Her numbers (as far as pay out) were $ 1k off monthly. (Thats a huge difference!) She was not confident in me and we did not have a good relationship.
Advice for anyone using (or thinking about using) Eric Shore, write your own dire need letter– handwritten and sent from your mailbox; as well as researching your 3^rd party (if you have one) lawyer to cross-​check your information with theirs. Although you have an office representing you, it is still best to put your own extra time and efforts into the case. Build a personal relationship with your case worker. Make sure your doctors notes are on the same page as your notes.
I hope this helps anyone that has to go through the nightmare of a process.

Unilocaling this guy was a mistake

Even though I got a positive outcome I am not certain what exactly they did. There was certainly no conversation whatsoever about a strategy or how it worked. They collected the same papers I had submitted to disability for the initial turn down and the attorney with me in the room said exactly 1 sentence during the entire hearing.
Now I am trying to call them to pay for the duplicate records I had to have them get and not one person in any office answers the phone. No matter where you call or what number, you get «Elizabeth». When calling the line to pay your bill, the «Bookkeeper» goes to voicemail and tells you to expect a call back within 48 hours. Wow, really?. I really thought I was dealing with attorneys when I believe it was nothing more than office workers. (Side note, when I called and left a message initially that I needed an attorney, I got a call back in less than 10 minutes. This clearly tells me they screen all calls and once they have your signature on an agreement you are now a cost to be avoided every time you need to talk to them. Find a real Lawyer, not a boiler room.

After being turned down twice by Social security. I went on the Internet for help. This is how I found Attorney Eric Shore. I am so glad I did! I was about to give up. From start to finish, I am very satisfied. No stress! ALL I did was gave them all the medical paperwork I had and they did the rest. They kept me updated on everything. I thought it was going to take forever. To my surprise, it only took a few months. It was very quick. Thank you so much. I would recommend everyone that do not want to be stressed out with paperwork, appeals and all the running around, this is the one to call. Thank you so much!

Admittedly, Eric Shore’s office provided the fastest response, I’ve ever received, from any organization once I began looking for assistance with my Social Security case.
However, it appears, based on other reviews, that service from this organization varies considerably based upon whether or not there is a «local» office.
I was not afforded the luxury of being represented by, or talking to, an attorney at any time when «Eric Shore» handled my case. Although every document I received includes Eric Shore’s name & signature, including the one from accounting, individuals I dealt with were «case workers», according to emails.
It was disturbing was how often my file was reassigned without warning or any notification. Although I was advised, and promised, that there would be monthly updates, I always initiated contact; which genereally started with «your case worker is now _​_​_​_​_​_​_​». For every message I left, I rarely received a return call and my last case worker demanded emails to «expedite» (or receive) service. Obviously this wasn’t condusive to spontaneous communication and/​or to address questions or clarification related to emailed information.
To me, the most important piece of information and/​or clarification undisclosed was how they handle cases outside states where they have offices. Eventually, I learned that once the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) is determined, they assign a local attorney that «knows» the judge.
The worst & most anxious part of this entire process was knowing who the ALJ was, about four months before the hearing, but not knowing the assigned attorney until two weeks before the hearing. At that point, the attorney representing me (holding my hand) during my hearing began expressing concerns regarding missing information that should/​could have been collected at any time during the 18 months I «worked» with Eric Shore’s office. Now I had two days before my hearing to see my doctor & complete a form that, I believe, ultimately solidified my case.
Yes, I received a favorable outcome, but even the judge didn’t understand why my case had to go to a hearing. Therefore, with as much work and chasing documentation as I did, to feel confident my file was well organized with the most current medical information, I do not feel THIS organization is capable of handling cases outside their states of operation.

When my health got so bad that I couldn’t work I knew I needed a lawyer. The Law Office of Eric Shore were recommended to me by a family friend. I contacted them and couldn’t have been happier. Not sure why there are bad reviews here, but I never had an issue with them. They responded very quickly and kept me apprised every step of the way. They helped me with my disability case, and did everything required to get me approved. I recommended them to my sister who also has a lot of health issues and now they are working with her on her disability case. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a good Social Security Lawyer!

I do not recommend Law Offices of Eric A Shore
They sent me numerous questionnaires for my medical providers to fill out. Even after I returned the forms back to them, they kept on sending me letters and repeated phone calls telling me that they will drop my case if they do not get the papers back in a certain amount of time.
Whenever I called them to ask questions, they would assure me that everything was going to be taken care of, and that I would speak to the attorney in usually 3 – 10 days before the hearing.
THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
I never once spoke to the attorney they assigned me with until the day of the hearing. He was unprepared, we barely spoke for the 2 minutes we had. He was also taking care of other cases there, juggling us all in a short time. He barely spoke to the judge.
This upsets me because I felt like I didn’t even need their help, as I could have submitted the medical records myself, and not rely on them to help me with my case. The right thing for me to have done was do my own research online and find useful articles.
As a client, I felt cheated and robbed by their offices. Do not trust them with your life!

I wish I could put «0» stars!!! Eric Shore is a scam for sure!!! My son’s father was deemed disabled by multiple doctors over 3 years ago. So we started the process of applying, denial, review and now we’re at the hearing part. Called Social Security and were told he’d probably have his hearing within the next few months. Great! Only Eric Shore’s offices called this morning and said that there isn’t enough evidence to prove disability!!! WTF?! Are u kidding me!!! HE CAN’T EVEN GET IN A CAR AND DRIVE DOWN THE STREET!!! HOW COULD HE WORK!!! Well, I guess from the reviews I’ve seen by google’ing this lawyer, it would have been best to have chosen another lawyer to begin with… but he choose Eric Sure and was told last minute that he can’t represent him! Now we have to start all over w/​a different lawyer and this time, it’s in a time crunch! Thanks Eric Shore for (not) returning all of our phone calls this past year, thanks for (not) communicating with us at all, and thanks for (not) representing him and putting us in this situation!!! So here’s what we’ve dealt with since choosing Eric Shore for representation…
First phone call we were told that Eric Shore’s lawfirm could represent him and sent out paperwork… then after the paperwork… NOTHING! FOR OVER A YEAR! NOTHING! No phone calls, no emails… no returned phone calls. Call their multiple numbers, placed on hold for a hour and told to leave a message because he’s busy. Leave a message, no call back… leave another message… still no call back! LEAVE 5 MESSAGES IN 1 DAY… STILL NO CALL BACK!!! Call the numbers again and push the option for «new cases» and was connected IMMEDIATELY!!! However, the people that take your information to send you paperwork in the mail are NOT the same people that handle cases… and DON“T EVEN WORK IN THE SAME OFFICE!!! They are unable to give any contact information for this lawfirm, but will be happy to connect you to their voicemail!!! Really?! So I started google’ing this lawfirm… negative feedback EVERYWHERE except Facebook for some reason… then I look and see that feedback that was there previously has been deleted!!! There used to be over 50 reviews, now there are 17. What’s up w/​that?!
So all in all, I guess we’ll be happy to find another lawyer… since this one didn’t do anything for us except keep us hanging on a string for over a year anyway!!! Maybe this time, we will find a reputable one… one that returns phone calls… offers a cell phone number for contact… and is professional… this one sure is not!!! BEWARE… Disability Scam Lawyers are EVERYWHERE!!!

Not sure why a guy from California is writing reviews about this Philly office. (Maybe he is a little confused.) I have worked with the people in the Philly office for many years. Never have I met a group of more caring people. More importantly, they are fighters. Dennis G. represented my sister and one of my childhood friends. He got my sister exactly what she deserved and got my friend a pretty sizable settlement! Ask for Dennis if you have a personal injury case.

Stay away from this attorney firm if you expect an attorney who is organized, skilled, or provides good customer service. The whole staff has an attitude that they don’t care. They do not answer the phone, do not return phone calls or voice mails, and refuse to communicate by email after numerous requests. They are completely disorganized and incompetent. I don’t know how they stay in business.
