It was the worst car repairing experience I had! They asked me $ 400 for a panel of painting in my rear bumper. When they get done with the painting, I found some scratches on the bumper and also some dust and sand inside the clear coat. I asked them to remove those for me, they said: who cares about those small shit?
I also found the mileage changed on my car (gained 30 miles) and some one scratched my leather seats. Now my car is in dealer and I still have to pay more money for repairing!

their costs are fair and if they dont charge for for work like most vehicle places do and they get the job done fast, the customer service there’s extremely friendly would return again if I want repairs or vehicle tuning to my car ;) greatest if you pay in cash cause he gives u a reduction.

Friendly service. Wish they had more places to put your car when you’re driving up, but all else with my experience went pretty well! Reasonable price and turnaround for a safety + emissions test.

I was disappointed by them.
My SES light was ON, went there for like 4 times in 3 weeks. Changed two O2 sensors, one air sensor, spent almost $ 1,000. SES still ON and they can do nothing about it. Even charge me more labor fee when change the 2^nd sensor.
They have no repair skills I guess.

Been coming here for years and just wanted to post a thank you for their fast, friendly and knowledgeable through the yrs. Mr Lei and his staff have take good care of me and my cars through the years. They often get swamped, so sometimes i call ahead and see how backed up they are, often being the first ones in in the morning is their slowest times.

I had a wonderful experience at Lei’s! Excellent to be exact. I had to get a front bumper repair after a parking lot mishap. I initially went to a big name auto body shop and was quoted $ 947 to replace the front bumper (totally unnecessary – my car had very minor damage. The driver side of the bumper was hang low, but definitely not damaged enough to replace). I knew for certain that I was not willing to pay that much for a minor repair, so I googled Lei’s and based on reviews decided to give them a shot. I called ahead and asked if I could come in to get a quote. When I arrived at 2pm, Hung took a look, explained how he could easily repair it, and quoted $ 150. Needless to say, I left my vehicle with him! When asked how long the repair would take, he said two hours – TWO HOURS! (the big name said it would take one week –_​-​). I got a call at 4:30pm saying I could come pick up my car. They did a fantastic job, were speedy, honest, and fair. If you’re in the U City/​West Philly I highly recommend. They have a new loyal customer in me!

These guys are awesome. I called them and they took me right away without an appointment for a state inspection. Waited less than 45 minutes and no add on charges. Just the state inspection and emission. Thank you!

I got an oil change here. It’s a little more expensive than at the meineke across the street, but I thought it would be a good start to building a relationship with a local shop. A week later, I had to get my car inspected out of state. My oil was dirty. In a week? Don’t think so. Disappointing.

I have been just the basics done here: oil change, inspection, tire rotation. They have proven to be affordable, affable, and reliable.

These people RUINED my Subaru and milked me for a fortune. They said the problem was this and I paid hundreds then they said oh now it’s that I paid more money then they said you know what? It’s this! More money handed over then one of the shop managers said you can junk it and I’ll get you a few hundred$ 400. By the time they finished they destroyed my engine that wasn’t even a problem to begin with. They also had an over grown man child named David working the window who played and joked entirely too much and grated on my last nerve. PLEASE DON’T TAKE YOUR CAR TOO THEM, I truly believe they scammed me. They are not honest people. Beware and I told you so…

Great service, fast, affordable, and trustworthy. I always came here for oil changes and minor body work, but needed my front end worked on recently. Lei’s quickly let me know what was wrong, a few different options for how to fix it, and took care of the problem before the end of the day. Highly recommend them.

100% recommend this auto shop! They handled my car after an accident to the front drivers side, they fixed it at almost half the originally quoted price! Great friendly staff. Fast and affordable. I will definitely be back in the future !

Lei has worked on two of my cars over the past few years, and gotten to know them very well. On one occasion I drove my sputtering vehicle up while he was standing outside. He walked over and *immediately* diagnosed it.
Another time after a repair, my car died as soon as I got home. Lei actually drove to my house to look at my car and fixed the mistake right outside my front door. Now, obviously that can’t happen very often, but it just shows the dedication to quality, and his dedication to doing a good job. So, that’s why I keep coming back!
The staff is very informative and always make sure to explain exactly what’s going on. They aren’t secretive, and don’t try to lump repairs together. They have a good philosophy on preventative car maintenance. Because of Lei’s Auto, I have learned more about my own vehicles, learned how to take care of my car, and keep it running smoothly for a long time.
I still enjoy working on my own vehicle, but I’m not a mechanic. If there’s something I can’t do, I bring it to Lei. Likewise, I can always ask them how I can *improve* the quality of my vehicle, and they don’t hesitate to explain and give me options.

Had a mirror replaced. Service was fast, price was great, and the staff are nice. Will definitely return!

After several more experiences here, I can honestly say that you can’t beat a mechanic you can trust. It’s worth a lot of time, money, and reduced stress. I will keep bringing my car here for the foreseeable future.

Came here for brakes and inspection. Awesome friendly staff and very knowledgeable and honest. They took the price down for me after I compared them to another place and I thought that was super cool.

I came here after reading reviews on Unilocal and am glad I did. They were extremely honest and informative and went the extra mile for me in all respects… they never tried to up-​sell me and were upfront about prices and work that needed to be done.
David was a great contact.

These guys are honest, accommodating and affordable. They actually showed me the broken parts of my car, explained why they broke, why they need repairing, how they would repair it and how much it would cost to make the repairs AND how they would save me money of they could.
After going to a nearby chain that wanted to charge me 4 times as much money for a ridiculous amount of work and repairs (none of which Lei’s ever mentioned), it was refreshing to get a more reasonable idea of what my car needed and what was recommended. The things they showed me that we’re wrong weren’t even mentioned by the nearby chain.

Been bringing my car here for the last 3 years.
They’re fast. They’re informative. They’re affordable.
They tell you what to look out for down the road («you should replace your brake pads in the next x months,» «start looking out for tire sales,» etc), but they don’t try to push those sales on you while your car is in the shop as other mechanics I’ve patronized are wont to do. They do what you ask for without upselling.
They also call before they replace anything critical that they may notice while working on your stuff, and they confirm pricing and all that jazz with you BEFORE they do it. I know that’s something most of us expect, but it’s nice that they’re really consistent about this.
Not only that, but the place won’t break your bank. If you need anything replaced, they give you options, and they let you decide.
As long as I live in the area, Lei’s is my spot.

Dave is great and just tells you how it is. He’s not trying to swindle you out of any more money than you’re willing to spend. I called about getting 4 new tires on my 2008 Civic and he offered me 3 reasonable tire options within the price range I was looking for. Price quotes per tire include labor, balancing, etc. Only thing not included in the price was alignment which separately is an additional $ 80.
I’ve been bringing my car here for the past couple years for the annual inspection and oil changes and appreciate their professional, no nonsense approach to providing high-​quality care and service for my car.
