Very enjoyable bar along the river front with a fun coastal feel. The beer was trendy though with an overwhelming majority being fruity or hop styles. Enjoyed their daring with a chocolate peanut butter porter.

A brewery with full sushi bar?! Yes please! For being a brewery, this place has same really great food. Get the Hot Crab Dip to start, it was just the right amount of crab, spices, and creaminess. All of the entrees sounded good but we got the cherry glazed salmon(which was really good!) and 2 sushi rolls. The Volcano roll and the Manayunk roll. Both good proportions of filling to rice, so pretty well made. :) Loved their beer. The most popular option is to get a flight of all their beers for about $ 10? This is a good thing to do, since some beers were not what we expected. Downsides: –Parking: this is a problem for pretty much everywhere in Manayunk, but it looks like the meters out front are free after 6pm –Service: when our waiter was around he was fine, but sometimes he just disappeared. We noticed the waiters were all just hanging out in the next room. We had to wait multiple times with empty beers

We were invited to an anniversary celebration here for a family member and we had a great time. The outdoor space and atmosphere was really nice and the food was decent. The beer lovers really enjoyed their selections and I, as someone who prefers a cocktail really appreciated that there was actually a cocktail menu at a brewery!(I really hate when I ask for this and they say, «No but we have a full bar!» I just like to explore others creative cocktail ideas.)

I made dinner reservations for 10(6 adults, 4 kids) on June 23 to celebrate a graduation. The food was good but they could not understand or handle us 6 adults wanting to pay separately even though we told them before we ordered our food… so when the check came and we attempted to pay separately it was literally rocket science for our waitresses… which basically ruined our night after all the damn back and forth with those waitresses… I’m never going back.

I’ve been here many times; usually I have a decent experience and enjoy the food & drink, but on my most recent visit, the service is what really ruined my dinner. I enjoyed my burger and my cocktail, but a server spilled someone else’s cup of au jus(from a roast beef sandwich) all over me. He initially had no idea what he did, so I spoke up and asked for napkins/help cleaning up. He never even apologized. I asked to speak to the manager and I told her what had happened. She told me that my meal would be comped… however upon receiving the bill there was just a discount.

After being at a Manayunk food tour we were so close to the brewery that we just had to check it out. We popped in around 2 pm and we were the only patrons at the bar. Very nice modern bar with beaucoup tables with waitress service. As mentioned we went on a food tour so this review is for the BEER only. We tried a sampler — flight if you like, of 8 beers; with a bonus 9th being hopped cider! All this for $ 8 ;quite a bargain. This being summer the beer offerings were seasonal as expected. They were mostly lighter beers with the exception of Monk from the Yunk. The Bohemian Blond I could have totally done without but if you’re a lite drinker you may want to start here. Other beers were fruit oriented with a wheat base while one was a peanut butter porter that was drinkable in the warmer weather. I’ve had Manayunk beers before and they are a quality brewery. I guess I wasn’t blown away with any one beer this trip. Notable selections for me included the aforementioned Monk and the sour beers. Looking forward to coming back at the change of season; perhaps the fall

The building Manayunk Brewery is in is fantastic! It is by far one of the most interesting breweries I’ve seen, & I’ve seen a few. I go to breweries to try craft beer but sadly Manayunk’s craft beer selection was just ok. We decided to share a flight of 8 beers(samples) &1 cider. Their blonde ale I found to be pretty good & I did like their Belgium style more than I thought I would(I am not usually a fan of Belgium beers). Their IPA was tasty. The other 5 I did not care for & ciders are not for me. I found most of the beers to taste watered down. Their watermelon & grapefruit beer had potential had they tasted as good as they smelled; sadly, they did not. It is unlikely I would return to Manayunk Brewing but I am glad we took the hour drive out there to try it.

Don’t try to show up wearing any kind of sports clothing. They refused to let us enter because a friend was wearing Adidas shorts and its agains their dress code. Never returning.

Beer that we received was skunked and bartender told me that I was crazy and obviously didn’t understand good beer. He poured me a replacement and told me that I needed to pay or I was going to have to leave. I paid for the beer and gave him no tip. This is the last time I will come here as its the second time I’ve been served poor beer. There is great beer to be had here; but, the service is poor and they do not care about the customer. They cater to an underage and college market and should be viewed as such.

We went here for dinner last night and lunch today. Lunch was 2 stars and that is generous. The place wasn’t busy yet our service was SLOW. They had a very limited menu for lunch. Dinner was amazing! Great cod tacos! The jazz band was great just a little to loud. The beer was tasty and so was the sushi! Must try for dinner but not for lunch.

Beautiful deck out back just off the Schuylkill river. Great for dinning or drinks when the sun is out. Large space inside, good variety of food on the menu and although I’m not a sushi person my friends who are have told me the sushi is pretty good. Variety of local made brews, may of which change seasonally. Weekend nighst upstairs there’s often a DJ and dancing.

The service and food are both good, and the outside bars more relaxing atmosphere than inside. Views from either outside bars are great.

A nice sunny warm day in May. A leisurely stroll along the towpath, what could go wrong? Plenty! My flight of 8 left a lot to be desired. 1 was decent, Rye of the Tiger IPA. The rest were just meh, about 3 were drain pours. Another case of I’ve had some of their beers & collaborations before, but was let down @ the brewery. My turkey pastrami Reuben sandwich was not what I expected. The pastrami tasted OK, but was an inferior commercial brand. Good thing that it wasn’t «piled high» as stated on the menu. The sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and Swiss were virtually non– existent. The side salad, a buck extra, was good. For a total of $ 13.50, I felt extremely ripped off. Service was good, and the setting along the canal is great, but I have no desire to return. I know it’s best to visit twice before reviewing, but don’t think they could ever redeem themselves. NEXT!

Great place to come and hang out with a big group of friends. Love the beer flights that they offer. Regarding food, the crab dip was tasty but the bread was like styrofoam. The sushi was average and extremely over priced for something that was not that special. Cool place to chill with a beer, but not impressed with the food or service.

I found this place on Unilocal and almost started crying. Craft beer… And sushi?! This was literally going to be my dream restaurant. Alas. I set my sites too far My friend also loves beer and sushi and so I surprised her with this restaurant. The company far exceeded the establishment. Not that I can complain about that. Service wise was lovely. Our waiter was very friendly and even knew the beers for our flight just by a quick sniff and check of color. He seemed very knowledgeable which is critical for brewery staff, no? The beer was meh. I did appreciate that the flight included everything so that I could try multiple styles at once. I’m not a true Connoisseur, but I know what I like, and I found only maybe three of the eight beers to even kind of stand out. Their main IPA, sir dank a lot I think, was pretty good especially since I’m more into stouts and porters. Second strike. No stouts or porters on tap. I realize it’s spring but just one? my friend agreed for the most part, but found their cider to be her favorite yet! The sushi now. They had a wide assortment of special rolls but they really is it didn’t pull through. They were smaller than most places I’ve been and fairly expensive. Nothing stuck out as super fresh either, I was definitely disappointed. Not fishy or anything, just meh. Tuesday nights are also live jazz, which I found so adorable but also loud, so conversation was tricky. No worries, just had to skooch a little closer the ambiance of this place is great, but I don’t think I’ll return. I’ll just find a nice byob sushi place elsewhere.

My friends and I have gone to the brew pub for years. I like it best for the nights where it’s time for a late dinner and drinks. There’s usually a DJ or band after 10 – 11. They have a nice outdoor patio/bar area which is a plus for summertime. Their menu for food has recently been changed I believe. It seems better than the last time I’ve had it. I ordered the nachos and the chicken tenders. Both were good. The chicken tenders came with a delicious BBQ sauce. The nachos could have been a little more cheesy. The waitresses are always super nice by the way!

I loved this place, when my daughter brought me for Mother’s Day and I loved it for Easter. The food is on point, from the bulging omelettes to the creamy whipped grits. I only got a tiny piece of prime rib but it was very flavour able! Mimosas were $ 4 and my Bloody Mary was very tasty. Waitstaff were attentive(18% gratuity added upfront) and pleasant. And the jazz band was very mellow. This is such a cute area of Philly, full of restaurants and shops, which makes the experience even more pleasurable.

I had a really great experience here about two weeks ago. My boyfriend and I grabbed a late lunch here on a Saturday. We both tried two of their house brews. I can’t remember exactly the ones that we tried, but their description on the menu was accurate as was the waiter’s recommendation. We also split the nachos and they were awesome. They give you a a huge portion. What I like about the nachos is that it’s not just chips, but there’s a lot of chili meat and toppings throughout. A huge pet peeve of mine is when you order nachos and there’s just a bunch of chips on the bottom. This was definitely not the case here. I liked the style of the restaurant. It’s very modern meets classic. It seems like a great place for families, young adults, college students, etc. My only compliant was that the wait staff kept trying to rush us out even though they had plenty of tables.

Came here for dinner with a friend on a Thursday night. This is much nicer than your typical manayunk bar. They seem to have good happy hour specials but we had just missed happy hour. I ordered a sangria which was great. I am not much of a beer drinker, but I hear their beer is really good. For my meal, I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was fantastic. It was soo good, especially the tortilla! My friend got the sirloin salad which she really liked. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was attentive and we were seated quickly. It was a bit more expensive than I imagined, for comparison, it’s at least as much as going to Iron Hill. I would probably come here again, although I hate coming down here due to parking. Came here on a sunny afternoon in July 2015. Sat on their lovely outside patio right on the river and had myself a beer sampler. All things were at least average-solid, was especially high on the Dry Irish Stout and the IPA out of the eight beers I tried. Would go back to Manayunk again for this, will consider a nice lazy bike ride when it gets nice again.

Great brewery with a sweet menu. Came here after looking for somewhere quick to eat, but so glad we stumble upon this place! Great selection of craft beer and unique eats. Disappointed that they were out of the chocolate peanut butter one, but I’ll definitely try it once the weather is nicer so I can check out their outdoor section too.
