Yummy meatballs — veggie was delicious, with marinara sauce. Have eaten here twice, while my husband had hip surgery at Jeff. Good for take-out too.

I saw this place on tv, and wanted to give it a try. I walked in and decided to try the meatball Caesar. They had several options such as meatball sandwiches, pasta, soup, etc. my salad came with 2 meatballs. You can choose between vegetarian, beef, or chicken. The meatballs were just okay. I did not feel that they had a lot of flavor. At the same time I could tell that they were fresh. The service was friendly, and there is ample seating. They only have bottled beverages, which are a little pricey. Well, actually my meal was pricey. For the salad and a bottle of tea, it was a little over $ 12. Yikes!

I love this place! Cute little shop with more options than you ever imagined possible for meatballs. My personal favorite are the chicken meatballs with mushroom marinara. Everything is fresh and the bread is delicious!

I stopped in recently and left underwhelmed. My visit was prompted by a Food Network special. I sampled all the meatballs and was very disappointed as none really knocked my socks off. Maybe I visited on an off day so I will try again and see it the the experience changes.

Have never really had bad experiences here(nothing mind-blowing either though-), but left incredibly underwhelmed very recently. After attempting to place an order and pay using the debit card I’d been using all day, the young woman at the register swiped my card twice and said that things were going through so the transaction couldn’t be completed. She didn’t attempt to type in the numbers, no extra effort, nothing. Just«This card doesn’t work.» and hands it back. Naturally, I called my bank, who advised that no transactions had been attempted on their end and noting that this typically meant that there was a card reader error. I’ll never know if there was a card reader error or not at Marabella, because I walked around the block to Hummus and used the card just fine there. Okay food + mediocre customer service = patrons spending money elsewhere.

It is my favorite restaurant! The garlic bread is crunchy and the spaghetti & meatballs with marinara sauce is my favorite. I get it every time I go. The people are really nice. They let me help them wrap my garlic bread. I think they should franchise, and move more towards my house!

I have gotten everyone at work hooked. I love meat but I love that they have so many veggie options. A must get in the city along with a cheese steak

I got a beef meatball sub with mozzarella and tomato sauce. The meatballs were kind of bland. It cost like 10 bucks for about an 8 inch sandwich. It satisfied my craving for meatball and the people that worked there seemed pretty nice. Not bad, but not great.

I could totes see why you would take your family here. Toddler-friendly food. As in… mostly bland. The meatballs were not super tasty, the service wasn’t especially fast, but nothing really stuck out as awful.

I decided to try this place since they were across the street from my hotel. I ordered the classic sandwich and a bread pudding. The sandwich had a lot of cheese, but very little sauce. The bread was ok, but the meatballs didn’t have much flavor. The worst part was that my $ 1.50 bread pudding came in a small ramekin. Since I took my order to go it was already in my bag. Had I noticed that in the store I probably would have just asked for my money back. Completely disappointed.

Came here for dinner. The service is wonderful, the woman who took our order was extremely friendly and patient! I ordered the veggie rabe and spinach bowl(2 veggie balls in sauce) $ 6.50ish and a side of whole wheat penne $ 4.50 All of the vegetarian options are the same except for the topping. I thought the veggie balls were too soft, mushy and just fell apart. I didn’t care for the consistency. The veggie balls were very bland had absolutely no flavor at all!!! The sauce was okay. I was not a fan, nothing to write home about. Also, the man who cooked the food in front of us used his bare hands to touch the spinach and broccoli rabe… I saw him holding a take out coffee cup before and didn’t see him wash hands in between… Not sanitary!!!

Honestly the only thing I can say about this place is, Blah! So incredibly mediocre. The meatballs are terribly unimpressive. The sauce is bland. My bowl was so liquidy from all the startchy pasta water they failed to drain. You can taste that they use cheap quality tomatoes for their sauce. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place eventually closed down. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The greatest meatballs, forreals. The service is just eh though. I always get the nonni sandwich which is 2 meatballs for $ 7, I got the traditional sandwich once which was 4 meatballs on a long roll for $ 9 and couldn’t finish it. Don’t forget to get a loyalty punch card, 10 punches = free food.

6 meatballs for 15.12, I wouldn’t mind the price if they where actually good meatballs as they advertise. The sauce is highly acidic and the«traditional«meatballs are hard and dry. They also charge 1.25 for a sprinkle of cheap parmesan. I give the three stars because they are not terrible but definitely not what they advertise. Would not go there again.

Came here one day because it was close to the office and I was in the mood for something different. Hungry but not starving, I decided to get the smaller sandwich and some vegetables to be healthy. I like the amount of veggie-friendly options that they have. The meatballs were pretty good but I wasn’t a fan of the round roll, which made it more difficult to eat. Might as well get the four on the long roll. I choose the spinach and beans side. It’s made fresh in front of you, which I appreciated. By the time I got back to the office, the vegetables were sitting in the water that cooked off in the spinach(wished they have kind of drained it a bit instead of dumping it all in). Didn’t feel like that side was necessarily worth almost as much as the sandwich.

I had lunch there with a party of six and we all shared … not one of us tried the place before. I wanted to like the place because I spend a lot of time in the«Washington Square West» neighborhood. I can say only two positive things about the place: the employees were friendly and the food was prepared quickly. Honestly these meatballs were below mediocre — mine at home are much better and I do not flatter myself as being a good cook. I think the price — for what you get — is way too high … example, an «Italian ‘Nonnie’» or smaller sized sandwich which was two small meatballs on a roll not much bigger than a dinner roll cost with tax $ 7.50 and it came with nothing, not even a bag of chips. One of my companions had three meatballs in a bowl(it did come with a tiny portion of penne pasta) and a bottle of water: $ 12.50. If the food and ingredients was special or noteworthy I think these prices would not be unreasonable. The seating was uncomfortable. The«décor» was just minimalist. No table service — it’s just fast food you go up to the counter for. Limited menu. Their«shtick» is meatballs … but even their specialty was so bland and forgettable. There are so many many better places in the neighborhood!!!

This is a decent inexpensive center city quick food option. They would probably be a 3, because the meatballs are good, not remarkable, however I give extra stars for amazing service and a clean environment with good music. My starved, confused order was met with a recommendation from a very capable young blonde employee on a Saturday night. When I probably deserved at least a slow blink, she modified a menu item for me while being cheery and remarkably fast. Whoever you are Thank you.

Marabella’s advertises they have the tastiest meatballs in America. Maybe they do. They are def real good. Unfortunately it costs a bit of coin to get a filling meal here. Portions are to me on the smaller side, prices on the upper side … and would you mind putting out a few sauces so that one could enhance the delicious meatballs to their liking.

If you’re not looking to eat meat, you should probably avoid places with«meat» in their name. WRONG! I was totally prepared to get the BPV meatball, but then I asked about the Veggie Balls assuming they were made of some gross processed soy product and cheap filler and that I would scoff at them. The extremely knowledgeable gal at the counter listed something like 15 different delicious sounding, not gross ingredients from cauliflower to pine nuts and I was sold. Veggie Rabe FTW! It was just as tasty as it sounded. Sure it didn’t hold together like I assume some of the other balls did, but the yum factor made up for the mushiness tenfold. Also, RE: size… don’t bother with the Nonni(two meatballs), when you can get the Traditional(four meatballs) for $ 2 more. They’ll wrap the second half to go for you if you think you’ll be tempted to scarf down the whole thing(which you will).

I like when places stick to one thing and try their best to do that one thing well. This place doesn’t have shrimp tortellini, or burritos, or pizza; everything is meatballs. Don’t eat meat? Hey, no problem: there are veggie meatballs. I got the BPV meatball sandwich with rabe, though I don’t recall its name(they all have names). The meatballs were excellent and the bread was good, but it could have used some marinara. I appreciate that they’re trying to showcase the meatballs themselves(and it was nice to try that), but I just need sauce. A quick trip up to the front though, and it was brought out to me, hot and fresh. It was a nice enough place inside, and I liked the music they were playing. They had bread pudding on the menu for really, really cheap. The prices overall were reasonable, I think, compared to other places in this area.
