Joe at Melnick motors is an extremely honest person. I never feel ripped off. He doesnt just «throw parts» at your vehicle and test whether it works or not. He takes his time and cares about actually solving your vehicle’s issues. As a female, I have encountered other mechanics that try and take advantage of me. His prices are fair and he always does a great job.

Really happy with this place. You know that feeling you get when you’re not sure if the mechanic is making up nonsense just to overcharge you? I’ve never gotten that feeling here. The prices are always fair, and they always do an excellent job of explaining exactly what needs to be fixed, giving you the information needed so that you can make a decision on what you want to do.

I’ve been taking my car here for years based on a recommendation from my boss. I’ve passed this recommendation on to friends. Melnick is honest and does a great job. As long as I am in this area, I will always take my car to him. He is the most trustworthy mechanic I’ve met.

We had an issue with our 2001 Subaru Forester than NO one could fix. Fix engine light would not go off and not even the dealer could figure it out. Melnick motors needed to keep our car a couple days, but thank God he fixed our problem so we could get an inspection sticker. PHEW!

Jim is a great and reliable Technician. I have been taking my Jeep and Subaru Legacy to him for years. He does efficient and effective work at reasonable prices. He is also very flexible with pick up/​drop off.
Perfect choice for anyone who lives in Manayunk/​Wissahickon. If you commute via the Regional Rail, his shop is conveniently located next to Wissahickon train station.

Melnick Motors is an excellent garage. Joe is bmw/​subuaru certified but he works on most models. I’ve found him to be extremely honest and fair and would recommend him to anyone.
