I highly recommend Mr Bar Stool. I went in there in a panic the week before my daughters graduation party needing stools and I was assured that they would more than likely be in but if not they would loan me stools. That was above and beyond what I would have expected but the stools I ordered were in a day early. I know where I will be getting my next bar stools from. Thanks so much!

Bought three barstools 2 years ago from there for our countertop high breakfast area. $ 350 each but we thought we were getting quality. Two of the three stools are in my basement now since they started to wobble and braces began to separate. After looking closely, the braces separated because the brads were not even driven through the dowels in spots. Other joints had pre drilled holes with no screws in them! Several spots that should have been glued didn’t have any evidence of ever being glued! Since we are an hour from philly, no way are we truckin down there to just be told they are out of warranty. Plus I’ve already started repairing them. Be careful with wooden stools from this place.

They have a pretty wide collection, although arranged a little differently than I would have expected. They also have a clearance section upstairs, with handy signs saying how many of different items they have. That being said, prices range all over the place, with chairs selling for $ 99 next to chairs selling for $ 799.
They do have limited free private parking, which is handy, but also nice options for walking and grabbing a bite in the area.
We would up having better luck at Howard Hill in Pennsauken, if you’re looking for wooden bar stools, and prices were pretty reasonable.
I would consider coming back here in the future if I need more bar stools (bar or counter height), it just wouldn’t be my first pick. People were friendly and not high pressure, which was nice.

I have been buying all my chairs for my house and my business at mr Bar stool in old city. Bad chairs are like bad shoes; the impact on your back is huge, and any bad chair will give you back and leg issues. No more since I shop at bar stool, and on the top of it they have amazing designs, colors and as any small business own in Philly it could feel a little intimidating at first. The staff knows their business, they are always busy, and they are sharp and don’t want to waste your time.

It’s not every day that need to buy a bar stool (or two), but if and when you do, this is thee spot. Prices are great, service decent. Only negative, they have very little back stock. Usually have to order the items in, and that has taken a few weeks for us.

I didn’t actually buy anything here, but that’s why i’m giving them 5 stars… I was biking by looking for a hardware store that I thought was close by, and asked one of the employees, June, if he knew where the store was. He asked me what I was looking for and I told him a bolt, a screw and a washer. He said he had that sitting in the shop went back and found me exactly what I needed… Philly’d be a lot different if there were more guys like this around.
So you know if I’m ever setting up a bar and need BarStools, this will be the first place I stop.

I ordered some counterstools for my house and found dealing with the personnel at Mr Bar stool very unpleasant.
The saleslady was very interested in my business prior to me placing an order and very helpful. However when I tried to find out the delivery date for my stools, she was extremely rude. I had to call 6 times to get an estimated delivery date.
I would shop somewhere else !!!

See, I don’t know how to write a review about a place that only sells bar stools. But then, I don’t know how you can make a store that only sells bar stools.
Mr. Barstool has just about every imaginable bar stool available, from the most traditional to the most quirky. I found it useful when tried to sauce up our kitchen — those great bar stools under the brand new «lip» on our counter top made the place look hip again.
And, of course, if you’re actually in the bar restaurant business, this is THE place to go.
