All you can eat hot pot and Korean bbq! Hot pot is yummay! Pork bone hot pot broth is what I prefer, simple and adds a simple flavor to the hot pot goodies. Spicy broth is greasy. If you come on your birthday you can show id and leave a comment on Unilocal and get your meal fo’ fweeee!

Came here for the all you can eat hotpot, wasn’t disappointed. The beef was tender, the vegetables were fresh, the hotpot(spicy pot) wasn’t too spicy and gave off a great flavor. The sauce bar was well stocked with fresh seasonings. The selection was a bit bare relative to a Little Sheep, but that’s a three-hour drive up to NJ, and for all you can eat the focus for me is always the meat and less other things. 3 and half stars for the food, another half star added for the CLEAN restroom. Normally in Chinatown the restaurant’s restrooms are to be avoided unless absolutely necessary, but Nine Ting should be proud to have what may be the cleanest lavatory in all of Philly’s Chinatown.

Came here with a group of people, had to wait about 30 minutes w/o a reservation– just went to Teado and had an early dessert :) We had the shabu shabu — one huge pot with 3 different flavors: spicy, tomato, and regular We got alot of ingredients in the first round– all fresh and the meat was good. Then we ordered another round. Just remember not to order too much or you’ll have to pay extra. Or you’ll be so full afterwards(which was in our case haha). For the amount of food we ate, the price was good. Will come here again when I am craving shabu shabu!

Pros: — Nice variety of food and sauces — Nice pork belly — Nice spicy hotpot — Delicious green tea ice cream(get for free whenever you check-in) Cons: — There are flies near the sauce area — Water’s refilled really slowly, evenwhen the restaurant is not really crowded — Use the same soup base as refilled — Limited number of toilets, have to queue up for a while even during non-rush hour. There might be some problems with the food so that people stay quite long in the restroom.

I would give zero if allowed. The food is a disaster! I came because of the 4.5 star and it turned out this is a completely soliciting result of a free ice cream in exchange for a 5-star review. As a professional foodie I would give my authentic review: — food is not clean, got some stomach issue right after having it like 2 hours later. — lamb and beef were from a long time ago. They taste like cloth in my mouth. — seafood is not fresh, some bitter taste if you don’t choose the spicy broth. — best food is vegetables. Try the pumpkin and taro, both hotpot and bbq are fine. Overall, a disaster!

What a great experience. The sauces were amazing. The meats and veggies were prepped wonderfully and cooking it in the table was a great change of pace. My first experience with Korean BBQ and I will be doing it again.

I would of given this place 3.5 or 4 stars but because of the shady business that goes on here and lack of flavor in the food that 3 will give room for improvement. I came here with a friend for his birthday. It was free for him as long as we like their Facebook page and make post. No big deal. But when our bill was wrong and I asked for refund of the amount, the lady there said that since they already closed the bill, they cannot offer a refund and suggest we take a gift card instead. Bull shit. In the end, I got my money back. To others who dine at Asian places or any place, do not be intimated by the people and stand your ground. Anyhow, to the food. Compared to Shabu Shabu a few blocks away, the hot pot flavor isn’t there, but it is cheaper. And thank goodness for the sauce bar so that I can up the flavor of my hot pot. It seems no matter the soup base, they all end up tasting the same — bland. But I cannot expect too much as it is all you can eat and cheap too for the price it is offering. It is as close as you can get to authentic hot pot around here, with the sauce bar and all. First two times here I got a really friendly and attentive server. Third time I tried the BBQ instead, which my friend warned wasn’t good. Well, if you compare it to Korean BBQ then it is nowhere near, but just all you can BBQ then it is not bad. But again the flavor just isn’t there and for the price and work you have to put into it. I think I will go to a steakhouse instead. Overall, I recommend coming here for the hot pot only and it is not a bad place to visit every now and then. Just not on a regular and always good with a group of friends. Hot pot and BBQ is always best with more people.

— TIP: Don’t miss the sauce station. The staff doesn’t always direct you there. — CON: Don’t go with too large of a group — the staff really struggled with our order, and required that we order in one combined order. — BOTTOMLINE: Have you ever been to Simply Shabu before it closed? It was much better than Nine Ting. But with limited hot pot options left, at least Nine Ting is decent hot pot.

ooh this place is awesome! we came here for the all you can eat hot pot, which is $ 22.99 per person. we got seated really quickly because we walked in around 5:30pm and it was still pretty empty. they have a great menu with lots of different ingredients. we had the ½ pig bone style and ½ spicy style for our hot pot broths. i thought the spicy broth was pretty mild — it definitely looks scarier than it tastes. for our add-ins, we had the beef and pork, which were thinly sliced and cooked quickly in the boiling broth. we also had the shrimp(it comes head and tail on), udon noodles, bok choy, enoki mushrooms, fried tofu and corn. everything was super fresh and of high quality, which made the $ 22.99 price point feel like a total steal! it seemed like there was only one sauce bar and as the night went on into peak dinner hours, a line would form from time to time. they have a little bit of everything though for you to make your own dipping sauce. it took a few trials and errors to figure out the best mix, but my favorite combo was soy sauce + vinegar + minced garlic + scallions + sesame paste + peanut butter + house special bbq sauce + hoisin sauce.

It’s my birthday!!! I decided to do Korean BBQ for the 1st time by trying Nine Ting. Located in China town, the restaurant is really nice. Surprisingly so, it is very modern on the inside. We got a variety of meats. I loved the beef items and the shrimp. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the chicken. The Seaweed Salad was amazing! I could eat an entire bowl of that. It’s a really good time and worth a try! Again, this was my first time, so I didn’t really have anything to compare it to. I’d come back though!

Make sure you are hungry!!! This place is amazing!!! Tons of food! We ordered both the hot pot and the BBQ. All you can eat for $ 32.99, which is a phenomenal deal. The food was outstanding. You cook it right in front of you at your table, which makes it not only a meal– but also a fun experience! All kinds of meat(lamb, beef, pork belly, etc), seafood(huge prawns and mussels), fruits and vegetables(the grilled pineapple and pumpkin are fabulous) and more. And free ice cream with your Unilocal check-in. We will definitely return every time we are in Philly!

At a price for $ 22.99 per person all you can eat hot pot it’s definitely worth it! They also have a BBQ option if you rather grill your meats. Service is hit or miss depending on who you get and depending on your server they may or may not keep an eye out for sharing between BBQ and hotpot. The items they give is plentiful and fresh, although sometimes they will«forget» to give you something. Just re-order it, no biggie since it’s a buffet. Their broths are good but is not as strong of a flavor as Hippot. I like how everyone has their own pots for the broth if you sit at a larger table, so no need to share! The sauce bar also has less choices than Hippot. The meats for BBQ have a good marinade. Overall, can’t beat the price for the quality and quantity of choices and with the BBQ option everyone will be satisfied.

Tldr; ok food for a decent price — focused more on quantity than quality, but worth a visit to pig out. A 3.5÷5 star for me. All you can eat BBQ and hotpot — magical words that put Nine Ting on my(pretty long) to try list. They seem to always be packed on weekend nights, so I was super excited when there was no line when I went at lunchtime on a Sunday.(The restaurant still got pretty packed though!) Nine Ting offers all you can eat hotpot for ~$ 24, BBQ for ~$ 28, and ~$ 32 for both options. Amazing options if you want to pig out and punish some food. I went with the KBBQ option, since Philly got way too hot for hotpot. The décor inside is modern and pretty comfortable, with each table equipped with several hotpot burners and a KBBQ grill. They brought out a few small sides as appetizers(kimchi, seaweed salad etc) which was nice, and you can order from the menu that had a decent selection of meats, seafood and vegetables. They also had a condiment station where you can get various types of sauces. Service is pretty attentive(for example changing the grill) and the food came out fast. So far the review has all been about good things, and I do like the restaurant, but the reason this doesn’t get a higher rating is because of the actual food — it was decent, and left me super full but for some reason not satisfied, which is a strange paradox. I think it comes down to two things: first, the quality of the meat. It was decent, but very average compared to KBBQ I’ve had that’s flavorful and juicy. Maybe it’s the marinade they used, or the cuts, but it didn’t satisfy me as much as I thought I would be. Second, the grill is pretty small, so grilling the food is kind of annoying. There is a rod under the grill that heats up, but since it’s elongated, only a third of the grill is actually directly heated and can be used to cook food, and the sides of the grill are merely warm. I would come back to try the hotpot though!

One word: Bad. I wanted to try this place out because it was AYCE kbbq and who doesn’t like all you can eat? The food was terrible. The meats they had weren’t even Korean marinades. This place uses like some savory marinade you’d taste in Vietnamese noodle dishes like Bun bo hue or Bun Rieu. How is that even Korean??? It wasn’t even Korean inspired! The only meat I recommend is the pepper steak. Service: HORRIBLE. The place was empty and these Chinese servers couldn’t even speak English to us and we would have to ask for someone else. Not only that, but they were way overstaffed. The worst part? While we were«eating» they would stare at us and I’m talking about 7 – 10 servers just standing, talking in their own language and staring at us like 3 feet away. WHODOESTHAT? I should’ve been thrown off when there was only one other group eating hot-pot. I can only speak for the Korean food, but the service alone makes me regret ever trying this place out. Don’t come here. The food is nasty and the service is even worse.

I had a dream. I had a dream that one day I would dine at an all you can eat Korean bbq establishment. That dream came to fruition during winter 2016 where I finally was able to book a large party for 9 Ting. There was a bit of an issue with the large party reservation but everything was sorted out. It took a few minutes to be seated in the party room as they were clearing out the previous diners. We all were sat where we were able to bring out the bottle of bourbon and beers we brought. As far as dining goes we made it simple and did hot pots and all you can eat bbq for the entire table. We picked our own broths and let the waiter choose what meats and veggies to bring out that we could bbq. We just said if we were running low bring more out. Service was prompt. As far as dining goes it was our entire party’s first time doing this so we didn’t know you shouldn’t marinade before putting on the grill or it ruins the grill so towards the end we had a server help Come and cook the food. Such a great time and excellent experience.

Thanks to our waiter Leo for a great experience last night. I called around 2pm to make a reservation for a group of 13 and the lady told me they don’t take same day reservations but they will add me to the«waiting list». I have no idea what the difference is, but hey I’ll take it. I arrived at 6:25 for our 6:30 «reservation» and the hostess offered to let me go in immediately. Apparently they have private rooms! It fit our 13 people perfectly, with two people who had to share one pot. We all had the hot pot — everything was fresh, the broths were yummy, and I love the sauce bar. They provided great service but checking up on us very frequently and giving us ample amounts of food. In addition, with our Unilocal check in, all 13 of us got ice cream: green tea & red bean. I was fully, happy and content. Everyone enjoyed themselves last night!

It’s a wonder how«all you can eat» joints can make any money. Under $ 30, prompt service, massive quantities of meat(beef, pork, chicken, lamb), veggies and seafood too… It really is an anomaly. I must note, avoid wearing«dry clean only» types of clothes… you wouldn’t want a joint like this to be solely responsible for a trip to the cleaners(wear your Tuesday worst instead). I had actually gone to hot pot earlier in the week at an NYC location. Pretty much the same experience(the logistical setup of shabu shabu ain’t rocket science after all): involving boiling broth, a selection of boil-able/edible materials, and the will to do some of your own«cooking» is all that’s necessary to enjoy your experience. This place does have a leg up though as far as service is concerned; it may be more a symptom of the hour myself and my dining partner decided to go(the post-lunch pre-dinner purgatory of 3:30 on a Sunday), but it was good service nevertheless). The seating arrangement is also pretty sexy as well; I did appreciate the two person booths… though I question the viability of the joint as a date spot given the all but inevitable aftermath of going to an AYCE hotpot/shabu shabu(overstuffed, bloated, garlic sauced up, smelly clothes/hair, etc.) All in all, a fine addition to the all things Asian food scene(but not necessarily Chinese) in Philly Chinatown. This certainly won’t be the last trip I make to this spot.(Note: there is a % penalty added to your bill if you don’t eat all the food you order. Be smart and don’t waste food and money!)!
