NRG Residential Solutions

Twice now I’ve had these people knock on my door, lying about their intentions. First time the guy said something about an Obama program, blah blah blah, told my husband to go get our electric bill and then bam, all of a sudden we had a new electrical service provider. My husband isn’t an idiot but somehow he got duped by this guy. I wrote them an email and told them do not change our services, and do not ever knock on our door again with your deceptive practices.
Well, new neighborhood, a few years later and who’s at my door? A guy from NRG saying he’s here to make sure I’m getting my refund checks from the city and my electrical provider. I pointed to my no soliciting sign, which he apparently can’t read and continued with his spiel. I said that makes no sense, that the city and my provider aren’t doing that, please go. He pressed on saying I just need to see your electric bill so I can calculate how much you’re supposed to be getting back. I said I’m not changing my service and he said that’s not why he was here.
Right.
He was getting all pissy with me so I walked away. What’s worse is that he’s canvasing the neighborhood, doing this to folks who may not be able to understand him or what’s going on and then are signed up with some other service provider without knowing what happened. Bad business practices. Bad.
**As a follow-up…I emailed them letting them know I did not appreciate their tactics, as I had the first time. I got an email back and all he focused on was how the agent should not have ignored my «no soliciting» sign. He then asked if there were other agents with him «making a sale» on my block. Huh. I thought they weren’t selling anything, or so the agent at my door said. Deplorable. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do not patronize this company.
