I’ve never gone here so this is strictly a review of what my wife buys here… she goes a lot and she’s always bringing home these dark roasted peanuts that are absolutely fabulous… perfectly cooked and so tasty…

The shop is packed with nuts and candy and spices and other stuff to put in your mouth. My only issue is I don’t like that most stuff is prepackaged to a certain weight because if you want to buy a whole bunch of treats it gets expensive or wasteful.

These stores are located all over Philly. My family lives nearby so this is their go to place to pick up various nuts and candies that they use for baking. Good quality and inexpensive. Also one of the few places where you can get Italian Confetti Almonds for a great price.

My dad always talked about how much he loved black walnuts. They aren’t the easiest thing to find. One day in Nuts to You, I saw some on the shelf. I snapped them up. I made a black walnut sauce and Mom served it over ice cream. Happy Dad after all these years! When I first moved to Philadelphia, I thought Nuts to You was a weird place filled with female office workers on their lunch breaks. The smell of roasting popcorn always tempted me but I refused to join that queue. Then one day someone told me they sold Swedish Fish(during the period when penny fish became rare before they turned into«Swedish» fish). I was off in a flash and would go periodically. One time I bought some gummy sharks, which became a funny work story. Eventually I got into their nuts(no, not like that). I always have a little sticker shock when I check out at Nuts to You. I wander through the store and pick up some walnuts, cashews, almonds, pine nuts, dried cranberries, maybe some dried blueberries, maybe some wasabi peas, and macademia nuts. Although the tally may hurt, I walk out with two bags of food that will add flavor, antioxidants, protein, omega-3s, and vitamin E to my meals for several months. You shouldn’t think that Nuts to You is expensive. I’ve compared their prices to the grocery store prices and Nuts to You is way cheaper. I’ve searched online and Nuts to You is cheaper. Even in California, I found organic walnuts at the same price as Nuts to You’s price. Mind you, walnuts are grown in California and Cali has several towns named things like Walnut Creek and Walnut Grove. Nuts to You’s(ahem, not to youse) prices are excellent.

Nuts to You is fantastic. I came here in December to stock up on supplies for candymaking and baking adventures. The staff was extremely friendly — the lady behind the counter let me try a sample of the chocolate I was buying — and the shop was well-stocked. Their prices were quite reasonable and the products were fresh as could be. For just under $ 40 I got 7 lbs of really good quality Guittard couverture chocolate(couverture is specially made for coating things and making candy), a pound of whole unbroken cashews, a pound of whole roasted almonds, several pounds of dried fruit, and some Swedish Fish. I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality. When I left, I even got a coupon for a free bag of popcorn on my next visit. The bulk sections at other stores are for suckers, I’ve decided. I’m getting nuts, chocolate chips, fancy jam, and candy exclusively here from now on.

A bit hard to find for the navigationally impaired and Garmin dependent. It’s in Whitman Plaza but not really, it’s in the outer part where the Dunkin Donuts is right on Oregon. Anyhow… fantastic. Friendly service, good prices, and lots to choose from. After getting some rancid filberts at a nearby and much revered co-op(you know the one) I needed to find another source and Nuts To You did not disappoint. I managed to leave with only what I’d gone for, some blanched filberts, but it was a challenge. Nice to find a place that offers nuts that grocery stores don’t usually have and in multiple varieties. They also carry California dried apricots which are worlds better than the much more common Turkish ones.
