PadChili is a great find! Their Szechuan menu is incredible, as is their Thai menu. We ordered the twice cooked pork and Panang beef – both were delicious! They also have a full bar and a comfortable restaurant, so eating in is as nice as ordering take out.

The reason i gave them 1 stars is becuase the pad thai was awful, the only ingredient i tasted was soy sause with you arent suppose to use. I also order online and it was a disaster, i was missing an order and the waitress argued that she was 100% sure was right even when i layed every thing on the table and identified what was what. Stubborn ass then proceeds to hang up on me. Never again!!! Steer clear from this place!!!

This place was just terrible! We ordered the pad see ew with beef and the jungle curry with shrimp. Neither dish had any flavor whatsoever, but the curry was especially disappointing. We pointed out to the server that there was a clear layer of water resting on the surface, and she blamed it on the lack of coconut milk in the recipe. Both my fiancé and I have had amazing Thai food many times before, and we have never experienced anything quite this embarrassing. Their lack of skill in cooking was clearly reflected by the lack of patrons in the restaurant. I just feel bad for them.

I am visiting Philadelphia in a family vacation. My parents love Chinese food and Pad Chili made our first meal in the ciry a wonderful memory!

I cannot say enough good things about Pad Chile. When it was ‘Pad thai restaurant’ the quality and taste was always mediocre. Once they changed to «Pad Chile’ they completely up’d their game. They are always courteous and polite on the phone. The food always arrives pretty quickly and is always hot and fresh. They only screwed up my order once and I like them so much I just dealt with it. Since though, my orders are always the same so they even ask me if I just want my usual, it’s amazing! Different spice levels to anything can be requested. Try the dumplings in chile sauce, they’re the best things I have ever tasted!

The service was great, however the food was average. I took my friend here who has never had thai food and was not pleased with the taste. I ordered the fried curry tofu, fried calamari, dry pot style beef, and pad thai. The best dish was the pad thai. I didn’t like their curry sauce.

Wow… we got a Groupon to try this place out during our weekend visit to Philly and I am so happy we did! Although the place was empty at 6 pm on the Friday before July 4, the service was polite and friendly, and the food was amazing. I ordered the yellow thai curry with veggies and fried tofu and a side of brown rice, and my husband ordered the spicy Szechuan chicken also with a side of brown rice. I’ve had yellow curry before but this one was especially creamy and with the just the right amount of chili for a kick. I felt like a little kid slurping down the last drops of sauce from the soup bowl. YUM! My husband was also pleased with his dish, which came with a generous amount of meat. Also, our waitress offered us more rice half way through the meal and was very attentive in keeping our drinks filled. Will likely return when/if we go back to Philly. Thanks PadChili for an awesome dinner!

Love these guys! Come here for super inexpensive lunch specials and also amazing specialties from super authentic Thai to Szechuan. All super fresh and delicious and newly renovated and clean. Very friendly staff and pretty fast service too. Queen village gem! It sounds like I work here and this review is fake, but I don’t. I’m just a super satisfied customer.

Service was fast and prompt, the staff is friendly. The menu is a bit overwhelming in its variety. The food was delicious and the spice level was punctuated but not heavy handed.

I was skeptical since I did not like«Pad Thai restaurant» at this location. Pad chili has a different(better, imho) chef. Since my initial visit, I have been back about 6 times. The Khao soi reminds me of summers I spent in Chiang Mai when I was younger! Pad see ew was also great. I don’t like Thai food overly-spicy I am happy they do not add chili to the point where sublle flavor is lost. As for the Chinese food, I found it best to ask what the chef makes best since I don’t really know how good Sichuan dishes should taste. The server was very helpful. The jade(vegetarian) dumplings are so good I have ordered every time I returned. Give it a try. Prices reasonable and Restaurant very clean.

Nice place. Spacious and open dining area. We both ordered pad thai(1 shrimp, 1 fried tofu) and enjoyed it. Portion size was good and price was reasonable. Service was friendly and good.

The food i ordered from here are AMAZING!!! I’ve been here multiple times, I would recommend their lunch specials because the portion is nice and it’s so delicious! They have a large list of lunches you can order, and the lunches comes with soup and rice, it can fill up most people’s stomach easily. So theres no worry about not getting feed enough in under 10 dollars.

Overall food here is tasteless. The rice ball in a wine soup is very watery. For spicy food, I would recommend Jane G’s in center city, much more authentic.

Everything I’ve had here has been sooooooo good! I have eaten here three times. One take-out, one delivery, and one dine-in. All were great experiences. The food was fresh and prepared and served/delivered in a timely manner. Pad thai is my guilty pleasure(guilty because I know it is the obvious and non-adventurous choice at a Thai restaurant, but I just love it so much!) and the one from PadChili is perhaps my favorite in the city. Seasoned well and not too dry or oily. The tom yum soup is served with a ton of freshly sliced mushrooms in it, which I am not a huge fan of, but I still enjoyed them(not rubbery at all) and the broth was all the clean wholesome goodness you can expect from a good tom yum soup. The most adventurous thing I tried was the«crispy rice style.» The presentation was novel and it tasted really good. I saw another table order a whole fried fish that looked amazing and maybe I will try it next time. Portion sizes are good and prices are fair. I am definitely dining with them again and I recommend it to others. Look for this place on Groupon for a good deal.

The first thing about this restaurant is that the name is wrong. Putting«chili» in the name of a place where I was served the mildest Thai food on this side of the Atlantic almost seems oxymoronic. I tried to spice up the food — I ordered extra their hot chili oil sauce but no luck. I think I could have mixed that sauce into baby formula and an infant wouldn’t even notice. I will say, that the two people I was with who do not like hot & spicy at all, found their food nicely seasoned and good. I started with the Tom Yum Goong soup. Okay except the advertised chili component of this soup wasn’t to be found and few shrimps existed among the plethora of mushrooms. My main course was the Thai/Laotian favorite Pad See Ew. This was not advertised as spicy and so this is the dish that I tried to add their so-called chili sauce to spice it up but to no avail. The broad rice noodles were not nearly as crisp as I prefer(I like this dish just lightly stir-fried) but so many restaurants serve the noodles this way(Often in Thailand as well) that I shouldn’t complain about this. Fortunately the ingredients all seemed fresh enough. Overall, the meal was okay but lacked any pizzazz that would beckon me back again.

Really really good! Was a fan of the old Pad Thai, but the hours were odd, and the service was spotty. Now reopened and rebranded as Pad Chili, we’ve eaten here twice in the same week, once take out, once in the restaurant. We were really blown away, the food was excellent, the service was very good, they even re did the décor inside, and did a nice job. They now have Thai and Chinese food, and both were very good. We’ve been looking for a cheap good Chinese food place, and now we can get some curry on the side of our Hunan Beef. Big kudos, hope it survives!
