I was driving to my dad’s house to check in on my nieces and nephews after a really long day at work. Around 7:30pm, I turned north on 5th Street from Roosevelt Boulevard. After a double-parking fiasco near Rockland Street, I continued north. It was dark out, and after a few blocks, a well-lit food truck caught my eye. «Sabor Latino,» means«come eat me» to me. So, I pulled over and walked up to the truck. I had no idea what I wanted, but a beautiful angel named Elisa steered me to Pupusa. I mean, the truck is named after it, so she must know what she’s talking about. OK, I’ll bite. Chicken, please. They have all the staples like carne asada and tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, quesadillas and pupusas of all kinds. I never heard of pupusa before today. Pupusa… is amazing. Like a tortilla pancake filled with deliciousness. And only like $ 2. My sole regret is that I bought only one. Go try it!!!

Another day in North Philly wishing I had some better lunch options than the PBnJ in my bag… Hold on! Spence found Papuseria Sabor Latino Food Truck across the street from Los Tacos the last time we had the craving for Mexican grub. Nothing wrong with some friendly competition i guess. I kept it simple… an order of chicken tacos. WOW! Delicious. Tons of tasty meat, topped with loads of flavorful tomatoes and some diced jalapeño and onion and cilantro. Squeezed me some lime and BLAMMO! Tasty Tacos! 3 in the box. I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but there are plenty of Breakfast and Lunch options I’m going to try out. If you’re in the area and craving tacos, stop by the truck. Ask for extra napkins!
