Yo I don’t get these 3 star reviews. Listen, when a business sells only 4 things, you better believe they’re all good. It would be a terrible business model if they were not. «We considered burning our money but thought this would be more interesting!» No. Everything Paul’s does is on point. I am obsessed with french fries. I eat them almost every day, and I’ve eaten them all over the world. They bring me endless joy. My best friend said if I die before him he’s going to lay fries on my grave once a year. That said, I go to Paul’s like once a week. The fries are fantastic. Skins on, fresh cut, peanut oil(which fries at a higher temp and makes a fry extra crispy), lots of salt, made to order. I’ve you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for McDonald’s prices, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a South St-style small business that’ll give you a stacked order of quality fries which they know are so good that they don’t need to sell much of anything else, this is your place. Also, the lemonade is insaaaaaane.

I always wanted to eat here whenever I would walk by it. But because I don’t really hang in South Street often due to parking issues, I haven’t got the chance to go until I attended the South Street Spring Festival. I enjoy their fries a lot; they are tasty, big cut and with the right amount of seasoning, which I like. The service was good and quick. What draws me to this place is funnel cakes and lemonade. I just miss these things whenever summer is over or when I’m not at a boardwalk so it is nice to see a place in the city that sells it. This place is cash only so come prepare. Oh and I love the wall outlets, which allowed me to charge my phone when it was near dying from over load of picture taking during the festival. :)

Fresh cut, no frills. I like the county fair vibe. A little pricy for fried potatoes though i must say. Didn’t dig the annoying loud music blasting while I was trying to enjoy my food. Get it to go.

This review is for the service and the fries. They were cool with me ordering a «Pail»(that’s their small, $ 4) of fries without salt! [to some fellow customers’ dismay] The unsalted fries were satisfying! I also like that it clearly states that they fry using peanut oil, in case anyone has allergies. Would return.

If South Street didn’t already feel like a non-beachy boardwalk at times, the addition of Paul’s Idaho Fries will seal the deal. Fries, lemonade, funnel cakes. That’s what’s happening. Fries served in old skooly french-fry-printed cups really remind me of childhood Jones Beach times in the Summer… I do like fries in fry cups, alright. The fries, fried crispy in peanut oil ain’t cheap, but they are good. $ 4 for the smallest size cup feels more than a bit steep, but they DO have the frighteningly economical option of a $ 9 bucket, if you and a gaggle of pals wanna french fry feast that mutha. The lemonade is also $ 4, which I didn’t realize at first, cause how much can fresh-squeezed lemonade cost? The answer is four buckaroos. Good lemonade… and it actually lasted me forever, as it’s poured over crushed ice, so once the drink is gone, you have all this sugary, lemony, lemon-zest studded ice to walk around with… The space was empty on a Friday afternoon, but I can only imagine the combination of the coming warmer months and South Street’s general booziness, will have this place hoppin. Booze + boardwalk foods, ya see… Be on the lookout for stumbly powdered sugar covered people.
