Pete’s Pizza is an institution in Philadelphia(for sure), while the original on 52nd& Haverford Ave. still maintains its rep, Pete’s Pizza II pales in comparison. The food lacks a certain love the original carries and the customer service could use some improvement, other than that its the hood and alls good.

This place is THE worst rude cashiers. Food always is wrong. And takes over an hour to be delivered every single time, even though I live 6 blocks away. Nothing like the original Petes pizza.

Ordered food and took over 2 hours for it to arrive after notifications saying it was on its way and a call to the restaurant saying it recently left for delivery. Then I found out half hour later that it still wasn’t there and the restaurant closed meaning she lied to me so they could close and buy some time.

The cashier was rude. The food was a 5 out of 10. The prices are too high for the food to taste so bad. The cheese pizza had no sauce on it. My order involved a 2 litter soda but when I got there to pick up they didn’t have any. They could have told me that when I ordered. I will NEVER eat from there again!

Man. I was a big fan of the original Pete’s Pizza, over on Haverford Ave for a while. And, once in a while, I’d come here. But again, that was 5+ years ago. I’m in the middle of the blizzard, and we needed to eat something, so I called them up and ordered. Nowhere near the level of quality that I remember. Not anywhere close. While it was never the Greatest on Earth, it was a reliable back-up…but this pizza went completely downhill. My wife even found an UNCUTBASILLEAF in her slice. THEYUSEPRE-MADEFROZENPIZZACRUST… I’ve learned(the hard way) that a few other places do the same… I refuse to ever return to those places… and I won’t be returning here. If I wanted pre-made crust, I’d cook the food in my own home… Not going back. The only reason why I didn’t do one star is because I didn’t have a truly horrid, profanity-level bad experience. Just the food quality has dropped.

If I could go lower I would the above picture is of a bacon, egg, cheese grit platter. After a 2 hour wait they sent that slip minus the cheese grits. Also send home fries that look like mashed potatoes. They fell all the way off. They got to busy to handle and they don’t care. Used to be a good spot not any more.

This is a real definition of ghetto/hood pizza shop. Counter girl was super ghetto and ignorant! Put me on hold for nearly 5 minute while she shoots the breeze with the kitchen folks and then made me repeat myself 3x on a simple two pizza pies order. Didn’t even say thank you or goodbye and before hanging up on you. The order took over an hour to arrive and I live less than 1.5 miles away! I made the driver take the pies back as they were cold. I highly advise the owner of this business to close or fired your workers immediately. You do not deserve to work in a costumer service industry with those manners and ethics. Do us all a favor and do not reproduce. Thank you.

THEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! When I called to place an order for a cheese steak, I told them it was for a pick up. The one who took my order took my number. 20 mins later I went to pick up the food. It wasn’t ready when I asked how long. The girl up front said another 20 – 25 mins. I’m not A chef but I don’t know what cheese steak 50 mins to make. The girl up front was extremely rude & not apologetic to the situation. I will never come back to here & It was extremely ghetto service.

I ran in here for a slice yesterday around noon, before a day with my sister. Who goes into a pizza shop in the middle of a heat wave? *points to self * this girl. I ordered one slice with sausage(beef), and a cold bottle of water(don’t drink your calories), which ran me about $ 4.50. It took a while to get the slice, and I started to get annoyed cuz it was dragon’s breath hot in that joint, and in typical hood fashion, there were various«vendors» coming in to make their pitch to the customers. No. When the counter girl called me up and handed me the box, my first thought was, «it’s just one slice, throw it on a plate.» Then, as I grabbed it from her, I thought, «holy cow, this is heavy. that’s why it took so long, he made me a small pizza instead of a slice.» When I sat in the car, I opened the box, and OMG. ITWASHUGE!!! A paper plate would have shriveled up and died had it been tasked with holding that behemoth. Then I took a bite and OMG. ITWAS AMAZiNG!!! There was a TON of cheese, and plenty of sausage — those little pellets that I love — and the crust was just right. It was somehow buttery and just a little garlicy and I’m sure it was a whole day’s worth of calories. My sister and I shared the slice and both our bellies were satisfied. My mouth is watering and tummy growling just thinking about it. They also have what looks like an AMAZING breakfast menu, and I can’t wait for a hungover morning to call them. I may have to make the trip to 61st& Woodland on a regular basis. Seriously.
