My first time here! Everything was amazing! The staff was fun to talk to and the pizza was fantastic! I’m coming here first when I want pizza. I had the Henrietta Blanch! Love the Banana peppers, sausage and spinach it was fantastic

So, surprisingly, the pizza is the worst thing at this restaurant. The museum part is really cool, the people are nice, the menu is great and really alluring. There is an ice cream shop next door. The pizza is just too thick for my tastes and I’m not a big fan of the crust. Whatever, it’s not the greatest slice but it’s totally fine, especially considering this is not NYC.

Okay… So I am a big fan of Lorenzo’s pizza, I thought it was the best pizza shop in town.Well. There’s another one! PIZZABRAIN! It’s the lorenzo’s pizza with toppings!!! Great place with all the design! I’ve already tried two types of pizza and will come back for more! They do get very busy! The pizza they have here is something you want to come back for every week!

Big ups to Lincoln, Lucy and Wild Bill for serving us some fantastic whole pizzas within minutes of closing. We hated to be «those» annoying customers but they didn’t even bat an eyelid. Oh yeah and the pizza was solid too.

Interesting décor and beautiful scents hit you when you step inside. This quirky, hipster joint has a lot of character and fun things to see while you wait for your pie to be ready. Unfortunately, they lost our order, so we had some delay getting ours, but it was piping hot and fresh when it came. We got the Forbes(pepperoni) and the crust and sauce were nice(crispy, thin crust and fresh sauce), but the cheese was very salty and the whole pie was really greasy from the pepperoni. Maybe you’d like that, but if not, avoid that one. Don’t miss the awesome Hawk Krall mural full of Philly characters out back and all of the pizza memorabilia scattered around. It’s also convenient to be connected to a delicious ice cream shop, Little Baby’s. Both places, unfortunately, are pricey, but the ingredients are quality to justify the high prices, I suppose.

Amazing pizza ! And I’m from nyc! The Decour is perfect, with all the pizza memorabilia from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the Slimer! The back patio is beautiful fun and bright — and you’ll notice the inside countertop and wall to the counter is actually made out of piano pieces it’s such a cool place to go and sit because there’s a million things to look at — did I mention the holes in the floor with the Plexiglas over it so you could see more memorabilia totally cool! The menu changes from time to time with different specialty pizzas — Great idea The thinner crust was cooked to perfection — and they let me choose two pizzas and do half-and-half on one pie Another bonus it shares space with its neighboring ice cream shop which is also amazing Now the only problem I can see is that it’s not in York city because that’s where I live It’s a must go

Placed an order… waited more than an hour… when I called to ask when am I getting my pizza? the guy said they cancelled the order because the delivery guy called and I didnt picked up the phone(I have a baby and my phone is always in vibrating mode). I expect the delivery guy to KNOCKONTHEDOOR, specially if I couldnt pick up the phone!!! So I didnt get my pizza because by the time I called they were closing…

I usually love Pizza Brain, but I just had to write a review. Never get delivery from this place. It took them an hour and 45 mins to deliver ONECHEESEPIZZA. the pizza was cold and the delivery driver didn’t even apologize for taking so long. It blows my mind that it took that long for such a simple things. Never ordering delivery from here again.

So Unilocal says they close at 11 on Fridays but they were putting up chairs, spraying and cleaning as we were still dining — totally awkward and uncomfortable experience. Pizza was not worth $ 25 either — just a basic pizza with some extra toppings. There was 1 guy next to us who was dipping his hand into the spice shaker — ew. Overall inconsiderate service and average pizza.

We traveled from Baltimore to Philly to catch a friend’s son going to his first hockey game of Pens vs Flyers. After the game we made sure to check out Pizza Brain after watching it on TV. If you love pizza, and it is your favorite food, you will make a trek like this for Pizza Brain. Everything from the crust to the toppings was perfect. After the meal I got to talk to the owner that I remembered from TV, and he was gracious we traveled so far to eat his food and he even told us of the places he eats pizza when in Baltimore. It is not every dining experience where you get to talk to an owner, especially when they make you feel like your business is important to them.

I’m over it. A third of the time they don’t have a driver, a third of the time they’ve run out of ingredients(really…you’re out of «meat» on an NFL playoff weekend?), the other third it works out and they get here after about an hour and a half. It’s really great pizza but not worth the aggravation or time commitment. C’mon guys… get your shit together!

It’s always nice if there’s a pizza place that has vegan options and is a reasonable distance from your home. That concludes anything positive I have to say about Pizza Brain. There’s a reason why there’s quite a few reviews on here mentioning their awful service. I’ve been to PB twice and both times the employees graced me with awful attitudes and arrogant demeanor. These guys work at a painfully slow pace so don’t expect any sense of urgency. God forbid you have any questions because they won’t even look you in the eye when they answer. I’ve been in the server industry for years and it’s really not that difficult to not treat your customers like shit. I shouldn’t be getting an eye roll if I wasn’t aware of where your bus tubs were. As I mentioned above. We commended them on having vegan options which is a huge plus for my girlfriend. Happy girlfriend=happy me. But it always seems like they’re out of certain toppings when in reality we found out from a friend that they just no longer carry them. Why lie? After sitting for a bit and being hesitant to even ask for a box… The only girl working(who was strangely nice compared to her co-workers) offered us one. We were thrilled until my girlfriend opened it to see that we were given a USED box with cheese still stuck inside. I understand that this girl wasn’t aware that my gf is vegan. She’s not psychic. I can let that slide. But why the hell are they handing out dirty boxes? This place completely relies on their quirky«pizza museum» atmosphere. The pizza is mediocre. Nothing worth the positive rep they have. It’s a Philadelphia cliché run by asshole hipsters that don’t give a shit about what they do. Won’t be returning and I highly recommend everyone get pizza elsewhere.

As a first time customer I was really impressed with the food, service, and ambience. Loved all the little details in the décor and was thrilled with the menu choices! Amazing pizza and so great that there are vegan options. And loved that it was connected to an ice cream shop!

My friends and I strolled on over to Pizza Brain after a delicious beer tasting at Philadelphia Brewing Company(literally a 3-minute walk or 1-minute sprint). This place is BYO, so if you’re coming from PBC, bring over those delicious brews to enjoy with your ‘za! As soon as we walked him, we were immediately welcomed by the friendly hipsters that worked behind the counter. Cowboy suit, parachute pants, and Napoleon dynamite glasses were all in tow. Aren’t you intrigued? This place also doubles as a «pizza museum» where they have pizza memorabilia scattered in the main room and the adjoining room. It’s worth a quick jaunt around the place. Ok, the best part of this place has to be the pizza. In typical fashion, this place has only out of the ordinary pizza toppings that go with the eclectic ambiance. And the slices themselves were very generous! As big as your face! I really enjoyed the Felix, which had caramelized onions(do I need to say any more?), Gruyère and mozzarella cheese, basil, and thyme with some delicious white sauce. Get out of town – so freaking good. It’s like French onion soup on a slice! We were also fans of the Jane with a nice, bold red sauce with provolone, mozzarella, fresh slices of basil. I think something can be said of a slice of pizza with simple ingredients but can provide a powerful punch of flavor!

When my friend(who lives in Fishtown) asked me if I wanted to have dinner at the pizza museum, of course I said yes! Now selling this place as a pizza museum is likely going to make someone who’s passionate about pizza feel a little let down, the pizza itself was stellar. The truth is that this place isn’t a pizza museum, it’s the largest private collection of pizza memorabilia in the world, which basically makes it a pizzeria with very cool, eclectic and themed decorations. I do love that this would place provides vegan and gluten free options as well as amazingly delicious pizzas with unique toppings. The flavor combination of the Wendy, with red peppers, arugula, honey and goat cheese was to die for. And a pie was about $ 20, meaning it wasn’t the cheapest game in town, but not crazy for a gourmet pizza.

Finally had the chance to check this spot out. We opted to get slices instead of fresh pies since we were in a hurry. The slices are pretty big, 1 is enough if you’re not starving and 2 will probably get you more than full even if you’re starving. All the pies have cute names. I tried the Felix which has gruyère, mozzarella, carmelized onions, and garlic. Great pizza, the dough is a killer texture. My only complaint about this one was that it was quite oily/greasy. I also had the Gail which is mozzarella, feta, kale, portabella and red onion. I must say I really like all their topping combintations, right up my alley. I am going to go back to try out the Queenie :)

Some of the best pizza Mike and I have had on the East Coast — and we’re from New York! We grabbed 3 slices that they had on hand — the Jane, Kira Tierston, and Queenie DeLouche. The Jane is your regular plain pizza, but with a really stellar mix of cheeses — it’s unique and one of the best general slices I’ve had. The Kira Tierston is a red sauce-based pie that has bacon, onions and Brussels sprouts — the bacon was very crispy and flavorful, and the Brussels sprouts were a pleasant relief from the general heaviness of the slice. Both Mike and I appreciated the Queenie DeLouche the best, which was a white pizza that had several different types of cheeses, mushrooms and Rosemary. While we generally are not a fan of white pizzas, the goat cheese on this was especially smooth and creamy — it really elevated the slice. Honestly, we came by intending to get a quick dinner before gouging our faces off on Little Baby’s Ice Cream(not to miss, I might add!), but Pizza Brain really shined on its own. While it can’t compare to Lombardi’s in NYC, it’s got some great, unusual flavors that make me want to return to try more the next time I’m in Philly.

Too hyped IMO. Apparently everyone loves it I’ve had better(nomad comes to mind). It was pretty busy Friday night when i stopped in with becca S for some slices to go. After ordering we waited for the slices to be reheated. They only offer a few varieties of the slice options on any given day so hopefully something available peaks your interest. I was a fan of the generous toppings, pretty clean tables and water station set up for self service. I was not a fan of the hipster service taking shots should not take precedence over serving customers, the sauce had a weird after taste and they are cash only(super old school and annoying) you are charging 20+ doll hairs for pies cushion that into your merchant services expenses. I wouldn’t rush back as there is another pizza place if Ftown that’s on my radar I’ll just have to wait an eternity to get my hands on one.

No doubt about it, the pizza here is the tits. As so eloquently described by one of my fellow Unilocalers, the crust is crispy on the outside chewy on the inside perfection. The different topping combos on the pizzas are nothing short of a culinary delight. I ordered the bacon/brussel sprouts/red onion medley and it was fabulous. They even delivered it to my door in port richmond, so that was pretty awesome. I have one minor complaint, however. I am straight up diabetic thirsty after having a few slices. Like, it’s actually pretty inconvenient how thirsty I am. If pizza brain could tweak their recipes in a way that does not completely upset my fluid/electrolyte balance, that would be perfect.
