This little joint was a fun unplanned stop-off on our trek thru Philadelphia! All kinds of odd, but awesome, tidbits! Old adult magazines, books and posters of the bearded lady realm. Stuff in jars. Mutated animals like two-headed chickens and two-headed skeletons. The gal behind the counter encouraged pics! I just happen to glance over this place, while checking for the SEPTA routes on my Maps app. Need a gag gift? Check. Looking for jewelry for a young adult? I know my 9 year old niece would love to gawk at the walls!

One of my all time favorite places in Philly! Comparable to Obscura Antiques in NYC :)

What a wacky assortment you have, Professor Ouch! From action figures to vintage accessories to books and magazines, there is definitely something for everyone! I first visited the shop a couple years ago not too long after it opened and left with some Beatles buttons and an Annie Lennox button I found purely by chance(she is my muse, you know, so I took that one as an omen!). Also, at a Punk Rock Flea Market(Holiday Edition) I treated myself to a Rocky Horror Picture Show wallet and purse, because for the price they were going for, I couldn’t pass it up, so it ended up being my Chanukah present to myself. Unfortunately, the purse handle broke, but the wallet is still in great shape, so I’m hoping to get the purse fixed. There is a small room in the back of the shop that’s akin to a mini museum of oddities, so if you’re into that, make sure you check it out amidst your browsing!

This shop is filled to the brim with strange, weird, and oddball vintage toys, books, magazines, posters, household items, and ephemera. Sci-fi, punk rock, wrestling, tikis, circus, sideshows, and practically any subculture that you could imagine. Don’t miss the Odditorium in the back of the store, which is the owners’ personal collection of weird and strange dime museum /sideshow oddities!

This place is weird.(«Bizarre», what did I expect?) It is novel and quirky, but not worth going out of your way for. Which is what I did, walking from Liberty Bell area down to South Street. South Street is great, but I wouldn’t make a point of stopping in here — a bit small, three rooms, and kinda cramped and dusty. But hey — it’s what they promised.

This is a really cool place! Filled with great collectables like vintage wrestling memorabilia, posters, toys, clothing. Great place for wrestling fans. The staff is awesome too, you could spend an hour in there easy. Hard to walk away empty handed! Be back soon

I love this place! Its like an Oddities store meets a thrift store but also with some really new kitschy stuff like purses and clothes. I did almost all of my Christmas shopping there this past year and it made everyone think I was incredibly thoughtful because I was able to find weird out of the way stuff for everyones interests. Seriously… everything from rare books to ceramic 1960s kitten statues or brand new purses from local companies… its Gold and right off South Street.

They have some weird stuff in Philly but this is about as bizarre as it gets. I think I could easily spend an hour in hear browsing the vintage goods. Make sure that you don’t miss the«museum» in the back of the store.

The neat little shop is great. Packed to the brim with books, vintage toys and goods, accessories, home décor and all sorts of kitschy goodness, I had a ton of fun sorting through everything. I found lots of tiki heads, cool books on a variety of subjects, old fun house mirrors, and even a little taxidermy. They have a huge vintage toy and collectible section. This place is definitely unique. The owner was really nice and helpful, too. He’ll be sure to help you out if you need it. Be sure to friend them on facebook or follow them on Instagram. You can check out all sorts of new stuff that just came in.

I love this place! This has so many different kooky items from toys to oddities and everything in between. I spent so much money in here buying a bunch of crazy stuff and the Professor is an awesome dude to talk with. There is always something new coming in, so the items are never the same. This is the best place to buy some pop culture/crazy items.

This place has a plethora of gems. You could look around forever. Good deals. Spend $ 10 on some magazines, a couple patches or odds and ends or find something that you’ve only seen in pictures and have one for your own. This isn’t some shitty hot topic shop, it’s a pop culture cache.

I mean the following in the most endearing way possible: they sell a lot of weird-ass junk here. The junk part meaning a lot of secondhand action figures, old toys, etc. mixed in with luchador wrestling masks, vintage cameras, and some books. The weird-ass part includes a Fiji mermaid, a fake mummy, and all sorts of weird skeletons and sexual things. Probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but it… well, it exists.
