Prompt Cleaners

Drop your stuff here with caution: they ruined a dress of mine recently and I will now be very cautious about what I have cleaned at Prompt.
The women I’ve interacted with here have both been friendly and professional, and my interactions with them make me really want to like this place. However, because they send the cleaning out, the service here is slow and unpredictable. I trust both of the women I’ve seen working here, but something definitely got lost in translation with my dry cleaning.
I dropped off a dress a couple weeks ago that was given to me by a friend. It had a beautiful, yet delicate, velvet design on the front. When I picked it up after cleaning, the lady who rang me up said absolutely nothing about any of my items. However, when I got home and took the clothes out of the bag, I found out that the design on the front of my dress was completely removed due to whatever harsh chemicals were used to clean it! I walked back and showed them the issue, and the woman apologized profusely. She said that since my friend had removed the cleaning instructions on the dress, the cleaners must not have realized that the dress needed special care. However, the design is clearly delicate, and a professional should not have made that mistake, in my opinion. It just shows that they are not really in charge of the quality of the work that is done on your clothes.
The woman kindly offered to fix the ruined bodice of the dress with new fabric, possibly lace. She suggested I take a trip to fabric row and pick something out for her to sew over the damaged area. It was a very nice suggestion, however, it was ultimately too much work and too time-​intensive for me, especially since the original stain on the dress wasn’t even properly cleaned out! I just settled for a refund instead. None of my other clothes had an issue, but I’m definitely hesitant to take anything else here in the future. I honestly feel a bit ripped off.

I’ve had suits and shirts dry cleaned here and they’re great. Pricing is fair and turnaround is quick. It’s done when they say it will be done. It’s great to have this in the neighborhood.

Prompt — NOT SO MUCH. To get anything washed it’s at least a week.
Also they have misplaced two of my dresses over the last 6 months. Only to find them a day or two after I have gone to pick them up. Too much drama for me.

Run of the mill dry cleaners, and there are many, have come up with the equivalent of «we have no store room, everything we have is out». You take a pair of pants or a jacket in with a spot and when you pick it up the spot is still there. When you point it out they say, «yeah, wouldn’t come out, $ 3.75 please» When did that chuzpah begin? Not at Prompt. I’ve gone to pick up stuff and she says, «sorry Matt, I had to send them back, hope you don’t mind»? And she’ll keep ending it back until it gets clean or she tells you that there is nothing that can be done. Refreshing, a great place. Don’t know about their shirts, I do my own.

Very good dry cleaning, and a great place to get your jeans hemmed or a hole fixed. They mended a hole in a very nice pair of my bf’s jeans for $ 7. Not the fastest, though, I think they send the cleaning out so it takes a few days. Service is beyond helpful, the same woman is always there and she takes her job seriously.
