Rybread is a small little sandwich shop there isn’t a ton of indoor seating but there is a surprisingly nice outdoor seating area if the weather is nice head to the back. So far all the sandwich at Rybread I have had have been very good. Major complaint is they don’t have tap water, who doesn’t have tap water? Seemed odd.

Love love love. Nom nom nom. Wonderful, fresh, intriguing sammiches and breakfast foods. Finest coffee in the area. Lovely, clean layout. Adorable garden. And pleasant staff /owner.(They’re wonderful, and I hate to even say it, but I do expect that as time goes on they get a little quicker at least at using the register and handling traffic, however they’re really new, and I don’t wish to nitpick, and I adore.)

Great place. Amazing sandwiches and good service. Honestly, nice products. Try the San Diego panini and the lemonade ice tea. Delicioso almuerzo :)

My second time here, conveniently located near the art museum and penitentiary. Good for sandwiches, salads, and coffee.

Two things — 1) waiting for a sandwich/panini for 20 minutes is just not okay. There was nobody inside and only 4 people outside(who got two sandwiches) when I ordered. 2) I ordered Lake Tahoe(tuna salad) with additional bacon on marble bread. After finally getting it I went to the Museum of Art park to eat it and discovered they gave me the wrong sandwich. It was reg bread with pesto, tomatoes, and mozzarella. Poor experience. Poor rating.

I love rybread so very much– it has propelled me through many a teaching day. The scones are amazing, the iced coffee is so so good, and the specialty sandwiches are fresh and loaded with all the good stuff. I love the Santa Monica particularly, it is a BLT with tons of avocado and thick slices of B. Despite all of this love… I am sincerely disappointed this morning! It appears that rybread has gone the Dunkin D «egg puck» route. Where once the egg sandwiches were gooey, hearty, fresh, and delicious… The egg sandwich today was not even hot, made with an egg puck :((and undercooked pork roll with unmelted and minimal cheese, and a dry azz bagel. Seriously sad. I will not be returning to my once breakfast staple… Alas.

This place use to be my go-to breakfast sandwich spot! Has been lacking in the quality department as of lately. Bacon egg & cheese was cold today. Whomp!

Adding the San Diego and Savannah(sans mayo) to my list of favorites from here! They’ve become my go-to sandwiches. I did notice that a few sandwiches have come off the menu, so hoping these two are here to stay! Tip: Ask for the Savannah grilled so the brie is nice and melted!

I had some time to kill early in the morning, so I figured why not go to my favorite neighborhood in Philly and grab some breakfast? I’ve been itching to go to Rybread for a long time, so had to take this opportunity! It’s a small little, hipster café with a long list of sandwiches, breakfast items, coffees, teas etc. written on their chalkboards. The super friendly staff took my order and also had it made really quick! salted caramel coffee: no Salted Caramel flavor at all, but good coffee so I’ll let it slide Egg and cheese with bacon(of course) on brioche: great breakfast sandwich if you need something on the go. Fresh ingredients and amazing bread(no ketchup needed) made for a great start to my day. I’ll definitely be back to try out some of their other sandwiches because they all sounded so delicious!

Good food, good coffee. Ordered the New York panini(corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss, russian dressing on marble rye) and it was delicious. Great for my South American sandwhich & coffee breakfast before hitting the art museum.

Uh, guys… what? I don’t get it. Have read all these rave reviews for a while and decided to finally check it out. I got a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, figuring 1) people had said good things about it and 2) sausage/egg/cheeses have a high margin of error so was probably a safe bet. Felt like chewing on a soggy cardboard box. The bagel was stale and bready, the cheese was a cold, kraft singles-type slice(it didn’t even melt on my sandwich), and the turkey sausage was paper thin(I couldn’t even taste it). I really cannot emphasize how tasteless of a sandwich this was. I drowned it in ketchup to make it through. Fortunately, it wasn’t pricey($ 5), but the rest of their sandwiches were. For 8 – 10 bucks, you can get some way better stuff elsewhere.

This place was perfect. Sandwiches are made right there, simple and unpretentious. Teasing is tight but the sidewalk tables make up for it. A must for brunch /lunch.

Good sandwiches and bagels. Quality coffee. However the service is just terribly slow and careless. In my most recent visit, I paid $ 7 for a bagel with cream cheese slopped all over and a coffee(see picture). Multiple people walked past an empty sugar and napkin container attempting to get the attention of the workers but were unnoticed. This will no longer be my first choice neighborhood spot.

If you’re in the Fairmount area and itching for some delicious baked bread or spectacular sandwiches, look no further than Rybread. Need further proof? Try stopping by on a weekend shortly before noon and check out the line funneling out the door. It’s that good. Rybread So on a recent Saturday morning, we took the new puppy out for a stroll and decided to grab some sandwiches to go. Savannah [$ 7.15] Oven-roasted turkey breast, brie, whole cranberry sauce, mayo, multi-grain bread The GF went with one of the healthier, but hearty options on the menu. As expected, there was an inherent sweetness to each bite, thanks to the whole cranberry sauce that paired well with the brie. The fresh-sliced turkey breast was moist and juicy, but it was truly all about the great multi-grain bread. Soft, pliant, and delicious. New York [$ 7.15] Corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, marble rye As a transplanted New Yorker always in search for a proper Pastrami, or in this case, a corned beef Reuben, this hit the spot. The marble rye was buttered and there was plenty of well-seasoned corned beef and crunchy sauerkraut. The Swiss cheese was nicely melted and there was just enough Russian dressing to make this a 5-napkin meal. There’s no denying that Rybread makes a delicious sandwich. How they could improve? More efficient prep. Even when the line was four deep(it soon became 12+ by the time I got my sandwich), the kitchen was in the weeds. Yet despite the disorderly prep, you can’t help but enjoy waiting in line, while you bask in the scent of fresh-baked bread.

This is a great neighborhood spot to pick up a bite to eat for breakfast and lunch in Fairmount. The menu has recently changed(made smaller, removed some items), but you can still find a fair selection including breakfast sandwiches, salads, soup and sandwiches/paninis for lunch. I always opt for the tuna melt on sourdough, or the namesake sandwich which is a crabcake sammy. What can I say, I’m a seafood kinda girl. The only caveat about this place is that it is small and during the lunch rush hours it can seem like a long wait, just to order. Add on the 10 or so minutes it takes to actually make your sandwich and you could be out 30 minutes just ordering/waiting for lunch. So it’s not very fast. My recommendation-call ahead. That way, you’ll only have to stand on line to wait to pick up your order. Good food is usually worth the wait!

I walked around for a good, 20 minutes and came upon this little joint. I walk in and I’m immediately greeted by a sweet girl. I only ordered a coffee but the service was fast. They have a variety of breakfast sandwiches and if you sit outside they will bring it to you. Their coffee is good. They have soy milk, skim milk, half & half and whole milk for creamer. I’m as I stumbled upon this place. Accidental is sometimes the best

Rybread delivers! I was quite impressed on my first visit. I think what really struck me was the service. You don’t expect people to be so damn friendly at a quick service sandwich place. The cashier was all smiles; the woman who brought out our food was all smiles; and when I said I did not like the taste of the coffee, she was more than willing to switch it to an iced tea. The food is also quite good. My vegetable Panini sandwich, which consisted of mushroom, zucchini, and other vegetables, was perfect. And it was no trouble to customize… I did not want two of the ingredients. The best bet for seating is outb ack. Follow the pathway through the kitchen and out the back door to their quiet patio. However, you should be prepared to wait if there is a line. When we arrived, there was about a 15 minute delay for food, which you may not expect at a sandwich place. Nonetheless, I will definitely return!

Nice little breakfast place. Very friendly staff. Awesome menu items you can also custom modify fresh juices and baked goods also. Only two small tables inside. Seating outside and they also have a very nice back patio for additional seating. My bagel sandwich, whole wheat with egg, sausage and Swiss cheese was delicious! Looking forward to coming back!

THISREVIEWISFORFAIRMOUNTFOODCRAWLONLY SPOT2 *Non Alcoholic Option This ended up being our secondary spot of the trip, mostly because it was located next to the one we thought was going to be number two. anywho. Offerings — BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich /Pulled Pork Bahn Mi /Beverages — Iced Tea + Lemonade(separately. No AP here.) Overall the food was decent. The pork slider was tasty but I cringed at the $ 3/piece price tag. The bahn mi was a decent enough side but, IMO, cried out for a bit of vinegar punch to the vegetable salad garnish. No liquor here, so thirsts were quenched with iced tea and lemonade, which we passed.

I had been meaning to walk over to Rybread for several months. Finally made it in earlier today, and the visit was unfortunately a bit of a letdown. You enter and there appears to be a line to the register. Chances are that it is not actually a line — it’s just people waiting for their already-ordered drinks/food inside the tiny space. At this point, you can either look at the chalkboard of offerings to the left, view the case of pastries, or head right up to the counter and place your order. Once done ordering, you join the ranks of people who appear to waiting in line but are just… waiting. Your name is then called shortly thereafter. In my case, they chose to call me «Kathy»(*points at Unilocal name* *makes face* *notes that this did not impact my rating since it happens to me all the time but. uuuuugh*). I grabbed my order, and since there were no tables open(out of the three available), I brought my piping hot coffee and«Denver» chicken salad sandwich outside to quickly consume at one of the tables there. These additional tables would be nice when it’s warm outside, I’m sure. Drink verdict: I was not a fan of my vanilla-flavored coffee. Despite sitting outside in the 40-something degree weather, it took way too long to even cool off to the point of being drinkable. Once it finally did reach peak-drinking-temperature, the flavor was off. Maybe their regular coffee is better. Sandwich verdict: They clump that meat in there! That part is great! For the price, it’s a fantastic deal. I wasn’t a fan of the multigrain bread, so if I ever found myself there again, I’d ask for a different bread type. The [chunky] chicken salad itself was also on the bland side, with minimal walnuts, but the grapes were good and saved the sandwich. Other items on their menu looked like they could be tasty, so I might check them out again someday.
