Do not trust these people.
I wanted to do a state inspection, the cost $ 500 with all broken axel, bearing needs to be changed, etc.
Took it a different mechanic, only cost $ 69, no safety issue at all.
I had spend couple of thousand of $ here at this S & B station, what a loss.

My experience with S&B is limited to morning munchies, and occasionally gas. But if you’re looking for «green» Philly, this is it. As one of maybe two gas stations between Vine and South, they’ve got ethanol, biodiesel, and just started using corn-​based plastic bags. Who would have guessed such an unassuming service station would rival nearly all Philadelphia businesses in environmental ethics.

It was almost the new year and on a late Friday afternoon with about 50 minutes till closing, once again my procrastinating self decides to wait until the last possible minute to get my inspection and stickers done.
I called up S&B auto and they were able to fit me in on a late late Friday afternoon. That alone earns 5 stars in my book.
When I picked up my car about one and a half hours later they were still working on other people’s cars hours past «closing» time.

I took my car here for an oil change and inspection. There were a couple of fixes that my car needed, and it still ended up being much less than I expected. They didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need, and overall they were nice.

Got an inspection done at S & B, reasonable price, fast turnaround, and they didn’t try to upsell me anything. Would recommend for basic work; have not had major work done there.
