You’ve never been here?! Go here! For a couple years, I knew Sam’s served a mean breakfast sandwich, but I only recently discovered their lunchtime prowess. Yes, it’s cash only but it’s so worth it. Grab a sandwich and a can of soda for just over $ 5, and enjoy yourself. Your sandwich is made to order, all fresh ingredients. They even slice cold cuts for each order, instead of already having a stack of cut ham or turkey. Tuna salad is also on point. And despite making one of the best lunchtime sandwiches around, there will at most be a few people in line — spoiler alert: it’s only people in the know. Do yourself a favor and grab a sandwich from Sam’s.

Good sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Family-owned. Cash only. Full lunch with sandwich, chips, and drink usually less than $ 5.00. Highly recommend.

This place made a fantastic Turkey Club Sandwich on white and Chicken Salad Sandwich on wheat. Both sandwiches were very tasty. We also got a cup of Chicken and Rice soup; the soup was not great, just OK. This is a family owned business. The wife makes the sandwiches — one after the other, like a machine. No pausing, no resting. The husband serves as the cashier. Their daughter stands around supervising? Try this place.

I just ordered a Waldorf salad sandwich from here and it was delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable. The cook and cashier are very friendly. The chicken noodle soup was really bland though even after I added salt. Will be going back soon to try some of their other sandwiches. Thanks Sam!

This place is a hidden gem for fast and healthy to-go near Jefferson. For breakfast, they do great egg sandwiches. For lunch, try the Waldorf chicken salad on potato bread. You will never spend more than $ 10 here, even if you get chips, a drink and fresh fruit. They are cash-only, but there is an ATM on-site.

Always had meant to write up a review! Be it breakfast or lunch, they have been consistently serving sandwiches made to order over many yrs. Mind the long line!(it’s long for a reason!!) If you don’t want to wait, just call in advance! Suggestion: Come early for their homemade soups!(low sodium too). Perfect when you’re under the weather. Try their delicious Tuna salad sandwich! Not too salty or fishy!

I stop here every morning before work and get my energy drink for the day. The owners are unbelievably nice and friendly, greeting me with a warm smile every morning. The breakfast sandwiches they make are incredibly good. Fresh breads(bagels, kaiser rolls, or long sub rolls), fresh ingredients, all cooked up right when you order it. No warming trays here. I’ve never had lunch here, but everyone who has gotten a sandwich here raves about them. If you want amazing food at a great value, definitely stop in here.

How has this sub shop eluded me for so long? I work a block away and go the sandwich route about every other day for lunch. Thank goodness I finally stepped foot in here. It was a ~10 person queue(a good sign) and I actually recognized someone else from Jefferson waiting it out. I went with their Italian hoagie which was made to order. They dolled it up real nice, perfect balance of meat cheese mayo and toppings of my choice. Once it was wrapped up and handed over I knew it was a winner based on sheer density. In addition, it was under $ 6 with tax! In addition service came with a smile. Looks like Wawa and Subway just lost a regular for sandwiches, I can’t wait to try some breakfast items.

Considering how busy Sam’s is with Jefferson staff, students, etc. at lunchtime during the week, I’m really, really surprised I’m the first to give it a review. Putting that aside, Sam’s is fantastic. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, hoagies, and salads all for *very* reasonable prices. And, maybe surprisingly, their hoagies are probably the best you can get in the immediate Jefferson area at a reasonable price. Besides sandwiches, they usually have a nice selection of soups as well, most of which are fabulous. Unfortunately, if you get there at the tail end of the lunch hour and/or on a really cold day, they run out of soups really quickly. And lines here get really long at peak lunch hours during the week so you should expect a wait, but it’s always worth it. Plus, the shop is owned by a really sweet, friendly husband and wife so by supporting them, you’re supporting a small business and getting really great service. They always know their regulars and greet them accordingly.
