Savoy charged $ 65 for two dresses to get shortened a few inches. One came back without stitches, even though they said they it would be stitched on the inside so the thread wouldn’t be visible. The hem of this $ 430 Elie Tahari dress was simply cut, and not very well! I was still charged the full price. I had several other brand new items hemmed and taken in, when they were returned, all of the price tags had been removed. Some of my items still don’t fit like I’d like them to because the tailor thought it would be ‘too much work’ when I asked at the time of the fitting, so I conceded. I definitely won’t be returning.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the service provided by Savoy Cleaners. I took a $ 250 gown in to be hemmed. It cost $ 45 to complete and they simply cut a few inches off the bottom (the design of the dress had rough hems, no sewing needed).
They took about an extra inch off than needed and since there was no sewn hem, there is no way I can have that length added back in. I could not wear the shoes I had purchased to wear with the dress because I needed a lower heel hight to make up for the lost length. Additionally, I had the original tags and extra straps still attached and they cut those off and did not return to me. So if I want to wear my strapless dress with straps, I am out of luck.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for alterations.

Master Cleaners actually sent me to Savoy as they didn’t have the time to alter a gown for my daughter’s upcoming senior prom. So, we decided to give them a try. Hesitantly… We were greeted with a friendly smile and my daughter went into a nice dressing room with an elevated box inside which she stood on while an older, experienced gentleman measured and pinned. He was very exact and precise and I felt confidant that he was going to do a good job taking in and hemming the gown for her. He also needed to remove the back zipper to do this then put it back in. He did! It fit perfectly. She loved it because she wanted it to be very fitted and she was not disappointed. And, It was also dry cleaned. All this for $ 110.00. Not cheap but a new gown would have cost a lot more so recycling her sisters gown worked for us. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends.

I needed to have a dress hemmed at the last-​minute and Savoy came through. I took it to one place and was quoted an OUTRAGEOUS price… even though it wasn’t an easy hem (the dress was chiffon with a hi-​lo hem and a few ruffles), the price was outrageous. I got back out to my car 10 minutes after I parked, dress in hand, and found a $ 50 ticket because apparently the loading zone I had parked in was for delivery vehicles only (who knew such a thing existed — eff the PPA!). At that point I was livid. I rushed over to Savoy praying they could give me a better price. The price they charged was still HIGH for a hem (IMHO), but $ 20 less than the first place I took it to. I have brought other items back to them and have decided I think they do a great job with items other than jeans. I’m not a huge fan of their jean hemming. I believe they charged me $ 12 to hem jeans, but $ 15 to repair a small area where the jeans were rubbing down from wear. Decent place, especially if you need something last minute!

took in 3 items (pants and skirts) to get dry cleaned on monday. $ 5.60 a piece. items were ready by thursday. i am pleased with the service. nothing fancy, gets the job done in a timely manner. i will come back.

I had to get a dress tailored at the last minute, and they charged me what felt like and outrageous price — but they did do a great job.

I have been going to Savoy Cleaners for over a year now and have never had an issue whatsoever. The few times I have had spot treatments done to shirts, they have always been able to remove the stain. Everything is always ready and nothing has ever gone missing. I also find it amazing they are able to remember the names of most of the customers. I am starting to think that the cameras by the register must have some sort of facial recognition software. It’s pretty crazy that they never ask you your name and know exactly what you are there to pickup. This is a great local drycleaner and the customer service is top notch.

I love this place. Unlike Master cleaners, they don’t complain/​whine about things with pleats or coats with a lot of lint on it. They are also much quicker than Master Cleaners.
I’ve brought pleated skirts and dresses here and they’ve come back perfectly pleated. I also brought in a bridesmaids dress that I waited unti the last minute to get hemmed and they were able to get it done in just a few days. Recently brought in a puff coat that had some stains on it. The were able to get all the stains out and my coat was ready in just 5 days. The store is also dog friendly and they let me bring in my lab and gave her some treats while I was waiting.
This is definitely my new go-​to cleaner in Rittenhouse.

Oh Savoy. I love that you pick up and deliver my clothes «free of charge.» I love that you’re wise enough business people to be the official dry cleaner of my apartment building. I love that my shirts largely come back consistently clean with no problems whatsoever.
But don’t charge me $ 36 bucks to take in pants, Savoy. I guarantee I can find a better tailor in the neighborhood for much less than you charge.
Because you are so pricey, you get 2 stars. I am meh on you.
