My friends and I used to come here on a daily basis back in the 1990s. God the pizza nuggets and arctic splashes rocked! I came back to try scoops a few years ago, it didn’t seem to be under the great management it used to be but I still have to give it 5 stars for my childhood.

I’m not a big fan I thought it would be better from what I was hearing. It’s all hype I think I’m a fan of fatboys it’s nice the food is great the people are nice they give you a higher quality in ice cream and water ice for a very cheap price!!!

Scoops is the type of place that makes me feel like a kid again… It gives off a little league baseball snack stand type of vibe in that they sell about the same things, and it’s always run by one or two local teenagers. I’ve been a semi-frequent customer of Scoops since I moved close by about two years ago, and I’ve always been greeted by great customer service and the same totally average ice cream. Definitely worth a stop in — other than little baby’s — there’s definitely nothing better around.

The best way I can describe scoops is a slice of Americana you can go experience whenever your in the mood for ice cream. Its a small town indenpendently owned Ice Cream shop with awesome ice cream and an owner whose always there slinging cones and saying hello. Theres always 10 – 20 people hanging out on warm nights, and its just a perfect place to walk to for ice cream. What more can you ask for.

Great neighborhood stand for water ice, ice cream, and some snacks. Always friendly and the place is very convenient.

This place is convenient to my house, and open pretty late, even in winter. My boyfriend loves the peanut butter«fancy» shake, but every time I have gotten ice cream it mysteriously tastes like mint. Cookies and Cream, tastes like mint. Pumpkin Pie, tastes like mint. I had the poor girl scoop me up three times and ITSTILLTASTEDLIKEMINT. Tonight was my last time. I won’t go again. Plus the«kids» size is ridiculously huge, so I end receiving a trough of mint-tinged ice cream… I guess it’s Little Baby’s from now on

The ice cream sundaes are bigger than my head, and wicked cheap. Sure, they’re messy and served in a styrofoam bowl, but they’re also available until 10pm on Summer nights and two blocks from my house. They also have cones, water ice, novelty ice cream and a ton of random snacks. I think they might also have lottery tickets. Scoops is a Fishtown staple for a good reason. Long live Scoops!

Good prices. Ice cream is okay. Not a big line. Customer service is subpar. They have soft and hard ice cream plus water ice. Good variety in their menu. Need to park on the main street in Conshohocken.

i love Scoops. it’s cheap and half a block from my house. i would recommend to never get anything larger than a Kids size cone cause the Kids size is much bigger than you’d think(like 2 scoops!). it’s open all year long so you can get ice cream in the dead of winter, if you dare. Unfortunately they recently raised their prices, but it’s still somewhat cheap(Kids cone = $ 2.50). Cash only. Open til 10pm most nights.

My boyfriend and I frequented Scoops often during the summer. Like, two to three times a week often. Sometimes we’d see a person or two at the window when we walked up, but mostly it was dead there. Good for us– there was hardly ever a wait. Big portions for cheap. It’s a perfect neighborhood spot for a hot summer day, and I am missing Scoops right now.

Scoops reminds me of the concession stand you visit as a kid. You know the one, at the little league field, where you gorge yourself on mozzarella sticks and Chipwiches, and attempt to collect every single card in the Terminator 2 trading card series. Something about placing an order through a window, to a teenager who obviously has better things to do, triggers warm nostalgia for days gone by. That said, this place kind of rules. Aside from water ice, ice cream and other assorted ice cream novelties, you can get all kinds of greasy, bad-for-your-arteries-but-oh-so-yummy treats. Pizza nuggets(chunks of pretzels with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce) seem to be the hit with all the locals. There’s also a hefty selection of cheap-ass candy and chips and other junk like that. Heck, you can even pick up a lottery ticket or two. And if you do, cross your fingers … You might hit it big, and then you’ll be able to buy those rare T2 cards on eBay.
